The Gwladys is full of Everton and Celtic bobble hats and t-shirts these days

The “Celtic are kopites” stuff because of one song is a nonsense

Evertonians tend to have a reasonably even split from my experience between those that prefer Celtic, those that prefer Rangers and those that don’t like either of them and find the sectarian stupidity to be a real turn off

In 70s and 80s at HT there would be alternative shouts of 'CELTIC'! 'RANGERS'. Definitely louder for Celtic.

In the middle 80s the half and half bobble hats must have been at least 10 Celtic to every one Rangers.

The most important point is that part of the reason for the split was the non-sectarian members who wanted to get away from the bigoted Holding and his mates.

Everton at GP welcomed anybody to play and to support the Club and that's how it has always been and will always stay.

This is a good well-researched read.

I only know three Everton and Rangers fans - and one includes my dad

Lost count of how many Everton and Celtic there are. In fact, there’s a fella at the top of the stairs in the Gwladys behind where you sit (well, and I sit too) who always has an Everton and Celtic jumper on

So Rangers salvage a bit of lost pride and they did get to the last eight in Europe at the very least.

Big changes are needed at Ibrox off the field though. Changes are probably still needed on it as well. Flash in the pan league titles just don't cut the mustard really.
