That strip looks like it's from the 1982 World Cup. We can rule out the Republic, as they didn't qualify for the finals, but that doesn't narrow it down, as we'd be a lot quicker if we went through the list of countries English fans haven't fought with.

Scottish, and Irish, fans seem to be well liked abroad. English fans? Not so much.

It's called jealousy.

Jealous of the English being superior.

Mask has slipped? Please elaborate. I have posted on here for years about my heritage. My family come from Kilkenny and I'm proud of my heritage, my grandfather is my absolute hero. He took his family from poverty in Ireland to financial stability in Greenock, so if you think that sitting in your bedroom pretending that you support loads of teams makes you interesting, batter on. I love Morton, Everton and Juve, I have never tried to pretend that I support anyone else, I have been to see all of those 3 teams this season, not sure you've seen any of your supposed fav teams.

I am quite fond of Morton actually. I have no real idea why either. I think I just saw Cappielow once with the big dockside cranes in the background and thought "that looks boss that". I also like their kit.

I am half Scottish, family originate in Helensburgh so I probably should have Dumbarton as my Scottish team as they would be the closest but I have always "supported" Ayr United for some reason. Would be nice for them to get promotion this year.

I like Everton Rangers and Ajax.I have a favourite scottish team, and a favourite european team on the side.I think that is pretty normal. But if Rangers or Ajax were playing Everton. Then i'd want Everton to smash them.btw Kilkenny used to be pretty boss at the hurling.
