Sounds mental that
Better standard of football at Sheffield but less expectation and demand to perform. It's hard to know which move is better for him. His issues are mental fragility. Playing at ibrox could mature him.
I like him and think he would be a stand out for Rangers which could work against him plus he'd be playing against consistently better teams at Sheff.U.

Where did Rangers finish last season? Where are they now?
He's improved Rangers with his shrewd business, there's a big difference between good enough for Scotland (to improve a team and make them better than they were) and walking the league.
Given money, yes more than last year but it's still a pittance compared to their main rivals.
A thankless task and he's making a good of it imo

If either Celtic, or Rangers, had consistency away from home, they would be way out in front, as their home form, Celtic in particular, has been excellent. Unfortunately, our away form have been the stuff of relegation candidates.
I don't think too many of the 14, or 15, players Rangers have signed this season will have been down to Gerrard. Maybe the Liverpool loan players, and Barisic, but I reckon the majority will be down to their DOF Mark Allen, who came with the reputation of having loads of contacts in the game, and certainly seems to be going through them and getting plenty of players.

Only one club up here spends more than than the rangers.
A club that size should be improving every season.
Most rangers fans believe they should be more competitive.
Gerrard can't control his main goal threat .

The style has improved slightly but they finished third last season and I don't see them improving any on that as Killie have shown consistency throughout and Aberdeen now have the ascendency when Rangers are hitting some difficult fixtures.
That mixture is making it a better season up here than there's been for some years.
Let's not forget decent teams like Hibs and Hearts, Livvie and the Saints will also pick points off Rangers.
Second place is not a shoe in for them so will the fans on that basis see Gerrard as having improved things
I still believe it will all end in tears with him but at the end of the day it won't be his fault.

Whatever tone or phrase we use monetary wise the rangers only have one rival.
Footballing wise they have3/4.
They don't relish going to Hibs Hearts or Aberdeen this season either
