Me too, they should have funds from the Tierney deal and you can see someone maybe coming in from Edourard though he would be a massive loss.

Think Edouard will stay for another year and then go next summer. 10 in a row with a better showing in Europe and his valuation will be through the roof.

Though, can’t see Lawell and the board digging deep in the summer despite having plenty in the kitty

They’ll probably point at Julian costing 9 or so and say that’s enough despite still having players like Bitton still on the books

I think 10 is that big they will push the boat out, it’s a huge commercial opportunity if played right, Celtic are massive worldwide and everyone will want their 10 gear. I think they might push the boat out a bit.

Not sure on Edouard, he will go for big money, I believe PSG are due a fair chunk of a sell on clause, i think if he signs a new deal he will stay next season, if not I can see Celtic cashing in as if he stays next year he will only have a year left on his deal.

Will depend on the lad himself and the veracity of the interest I think, Celtic would never turn down silly PL money.

I've no idea if theres any truth to the rumour. And I'm not completely convinced he's better than what we have. But if we want Edouard then we will get him. He'll want to play in English football. I cant see him wanting to delay a move.

Celtic ultimately don't need to sell

The deal would need to be right

They've shown with the likes of Van Dijk and Tierney that they aren't going to sell unless they get what they consider to be fair value

He would certainly be an improvement on what we've got in reserve at the moment, would he cut it in the Premier league?I certainly couldn't say but I would trust Ancelotti more to make that call over the previous 3/4 clowns who wasted millions. Celtic sold Dembelle who is continuing to improve and increase in value, Eduardo is what 22? So we are maybe looking at £25- 30 Million reasonable in todays market if it pays off.

Personally I'd rather have Ntcham or Forrest if we were to sign a Celtic player right now tbh

Ntcham could be useful in the middle with Gomes

Really enjoyed watching that, a father and son on an away day, it gave a good account of a match night the good the bad and the ugly, from enjoying a pint in the City pre match to the post match comments of the Gets fans. I was surprised at the gaps in the crowd even before they were walking out.
On a sad note I noticed travelling home from the airport last night a slip road on the motorway near Ibrox was closed, apparently a fa was killed travelling to the game on Wednesday , always saddens me when you hear the likes of that as apart from being with my family a match day is always when I'm at my happiest.

Hello Scottish people.

Why are you all having a pop at the job Stevie G is doing at Rangers?

Surely Celtic are so far ahead of them its unfair to expect him to win the title in a year or 2?

He talked a big game and he’s failing to live up to it. Look at their form post break, any manager would be eaten alive for that form down here

It’s not about beating Celtic, he’s got to beat Hearts, Livingstone, and everyone else.they’re not doing that atm.

Well that was an interesting Highland League game today, 0-1 down at half time, then 1-2 then ... oh I won’t bore you with all the details , suffice to say Buckie triumphed 4-2 , one horrendous foul ,straight red , Huntly down to 10, their Manager kicks off , 2nd yellow and off to the stands for him , Buckie centre half does perfectly executioned bit of snide to ease opponent off the ball and walks away, said opponent walks past him and mysteriously lays him down, unfortunately seen by linesman , all kicks off in opposing dugout when ref comes to consult linesman, another straight red for Huntly player, their assistant manager continues to berate linesman , ref called over and issues another red card. So five goals and four red cards in 2nd half. It often baffles me why this thread concentrates so much on the Old Firm, there’s a rich tapestry of Scottish football going on outside of Glasgae :red::)
