Scottish football

Anyway, back to Scottish football, as a Dundee utd fan, I don't think it's right that we got promoted and Hearts got relegated.
And I don't think it's right that celtic were given the title.

Unless they can play out the remainder of the season, I don't have a problem with authorities calling the leagues but I think they could have suspended relegation for a season, and had more teams in each division, and ruled more teams would get relegated next season.

Unfortunately, while it would save teams like Hearts this season, that would mean teams like Hamilton, and St Mirren etc could be involved in a relegation fight in which one, or two, more teams were going to get relegated. Self preservation meant they weren't likely to do that, but I don't think it's fair to relegate teams who were only a couple of points from safety.

In my opinion, the Coronavirus has robbed Celtic of winning the league on the pitch.

The Rangers had given up. Their star striker, couldn't score a goal, and looked to be in a huff about something. The Rangers struggled to win 2 games in a row after the winter break, but now their fans have them wining 9 games in a row, and romping to the title.
Whilst Celtic lose 9 in a row...

So you aren't in favour of Celtic being awarded the title so?That's great. With regards to the legal action, i would advise all Celtic fans to keep the champagne on ice. While im not sure there is the appetite in this present climate, to pursue this grievance, if Hearts take legal action against the SFA, then Rangers could very well follow suit.We await developments with eager interest.:coffee:

Rangers will do nothing. They're all bluster.

They came in like a lion, shouting about whistle blowers exposing bullying, and coercion, then went out like a lamb when their dossier had things like minutes not being signed off.

I don't think Celtic would have had to lose all 9 games. If they had lost the 2 games against The Rangers, two losses and a raw in our remaining 5 games would have seen this rampant The Rangers side snatch the title.

The fact that Celtic had only lost 2 games in 30, and The Rangers struggled to win 2 games in a row since January is neither here nor there, apparently...

To be honest, it's a not a real nine in a row is it?

They have the asterisk the same way Liverpool will

Yes. In my opinion, there will be an asterisk for this seasons title.

Like I said earlier, the Coronavirus has robbed Celtic of the chance to win the title on the pitch, which they definitely would have done,. the rangers, and their fans, had chucked it. Now that football has stopped, they're inventing scenarios in which a rampant the rangers side would have won their remaining 9 games, while Celtic collapsed. Complete and utter fantasy.

Hi guys hope you're all safe and well, it's been a little while since the Scottish thread was active but I couldn't miss the opportunity to ask after Hearts and Partick announce their legal action it appears that Newco will not be following suit having rolled over wanting their belly tickled following their blood and bluster gobbing off which amounted to absolutely nothing which was then replicated in this thread by a certain someone.
Looking ahead to the new Scottish season obviously 10 in a row for Celtic, I just hope someone challenges Rangers for second place, they must be getting as fed up as Celtic not having anyone to push them..
With all this Covid business going on to be perfectly honest I'm looking forward to going back again to Stenhousemuir for their excellent corporate entertainment with a few pals and giving a few bob to my local team.

Agree mate.
Nothing much to talk about up here .
Apart from Johnny Hayes returning and the Aberdeen chairman asking for fans for an optional refund on their season tickets.
Oh and the new stadium, I wouldn't hold your breath.
If and when it does return it would be great if all the 'diddy' clubs got full houses be it restricted or not.

Yes mate as tough as it's been for a lot of individuals it would mean so much for the duddy teams and the communities as a whole if everyone that could turned out to watch their local team even if they don't actually support them.

Well that was an interesting Highland League game today, 0-1 down at half time, then 1-2 then ... oh I won’t bore you with all the details , suffice to say Buckie triumphed 4-2 , one horrendous foul ,straight red , Huntly down to 10, their Manager kicks off , 2nd yellow and off to the stands for him , Buckie centre half does perfectly executioned bit of snide to ease opponent off the ball and walks away, said opponent walks past him and mysteriously lays him down, unfortunately seen by linesman , all kicks off in opposing dugout when ref comes to consult linesman, another straight red for Huntly player, their assistant manager continues to berate linesman , ref called over and issues another red card. So five goals and four red cards in 2nd half. It often baffles me why this thread concentrates so much on the Old Firm, there’s a rich tapestry of Scottish football going on outside of Glasgae :red::)
You had me thinking about the last game I attended, 7th March as reported here ! Yep , “ me too” to looking forward to going back to standing on the terraces again, thinking of buying a season ticket this time , many clubs are going to need all the help they can get.
