Arbroath v Dundee on bbc.
Looks lovely.
The language from Dik Campbell is colourful.
Big Rab douglass on the side lines..
Dipped in and out of the game, Charlie Adam ran the show in the midfield though he looks about 58 these days, obviously happy to finish up at the club he supported as a kid which is a great way to end your career I guess.
I noticed he doesn't kick so many opponents these days mainly because he can't get near them.

Two questions immediately spring to mind about Duffy.

1 - Did any of the Celtic scouting staff watch him play a match?

2 - How, itnof, did he manage to play in the EPL.

Hm, I could only guess...

1 - They saw he's Irish and Celtic fan so fits the criteria. Seems to be a Celtic thing. Same reason Lennon got the job.

2 - He's a Championship standard player and was promoted with Brighton. But he only really had two seasons in EPL before falling out of favour. He never really shone for them. They never used him for passing out of the back, and Duffy was used to having a midfield right infront of him, rather than a few yards further forward. He's a defender that would thrive at somewhere like Kilmarnock.
He played well for Brighton. Very well at times. Him and Dunk were a very decent CB combination.

The criticism for his Celtic performances are well earned, but comment on a lack of talent are wide of the mark IMO.

Cant get away from them,he took a few tackles.
And yes he looks like he had the ben nevis paper round as a kid.

today
Aberdeen v Motherwell (3pm)
Rangers v Ross County (3pm)

Seems like the season is over in the Scottish Premiership, but far from it. If Aberdeen hadn't messed up their last 3 games, they would actually be 1 point above Celtic (and a chance for Champions League football).

Motherwell and Ross County fighting relegation.

As for Rangers. It's their chance to go a season unbeaten. Not going to happen, but they should be going for it.

Duffy is one of the worst players I've seen play for Celtic.

I can go back to the 70's and 80's when we signed some absolute howlers, but at least they would only have been getting a couple of hundred quid a week. Duffy is on tens of thousands!

It's what he's being asked to do which is the issue. Not sure he can play in a 3, or play in a side who look to attack opponents.

Rangers could go unbeaten the way everyone else is playing, still a big ask but it wouldn't really be a surprise from this position.

....rumour doing the rounds that Benitez is in his way to Celtic.

Looks like he's quit his Chinese club. Celtic board have an opportunity to save themselves with that appointment.

Quit due to Covid reasons. His family are settled in the Wirral.

He was happy to do the 3 hour drive from Newcastle to Wirral. But is the 4 hour drive from Glasgow that bit too far? I'd say so.

That said, Harry Rednapp used to do the 3.5 hour drive from London to Devon.

...the family are Wirral based but I’m sure he‘ll find accommodation in the area where he works rather than commute.
