Interesting to hear Moloney not ruling out Martinez and him being interested in the Celtic job. "It's an impossible question for me to answer, I have to show respect for the federation that have put massive faith in me".

Hardly a 'no', like.

Who's Moloney?

Swansea manager may be a good pick.

And borrow should it. Steven Gerrard and his team simply havent earned it nor do they deserve it.

I didn't think it was something the host team could pass judgement on. Is it up to the hosts to decide whether the new champion team have earned or deserve it?

Tbh from any neutrals position 18 or 21 points isn't close at all infact it's exactly the opposite of that. I would think any unbiased observer might well think the leading team probably in such a situation had every bit earned it and deserved it.

The guard of honour may be voluntary but surely if it's traditional to do so it's both hugely mean spirited and extremely small minded if you become the only side who don't respect the tradition.

It might go down well with your own fanbase but would do untold damage to both the club and just confirm to it's critics their long held view of the parochial nature of Scottish football. The big fish in an extremely small pond mentality would just be confirmed and rubber stamped for all. A backwater were they don't even respect tradition or each other.

My team is Everton mate. Steven Gerrard doesnt deserve a guard if honour after his thug behaviour.

Just my opinion. Theyve been very very lucky in a lot of games this season. No credit is deserved for Gerrard and his team here in my view.

I remember last season when we all thought the reds were very, very lucky to absolutely walk away with the prem by a huge margin. I think however on reflection that there's probably a huge dollop of looking at things through Everton blue tinted glasses, and so while they had their fair share of fortune, in reality the reds were easily the best team in the league last season.

(eventually the winning margin was reduced to 18 points after they went on holiday towards the end after lockdown with it already well won.)

I suspect it's just anti Gerrard blue tinted glasses at work once again with reality not getting a look in.

I dont claim to be an objective observer on that fella mate! It's just my view, the view of an Evertonian. You wont see me giving him any credit!
