They don't have a local rival as no other team comes from the area (apart from maybe a couple of div 2 teams). Closest thing to a rival probably would have been Dundee Utd as they were known as the new firm in the 80s
The Don's and the Arabs were certainly great rivals in the eighties and served up some terrific games, both teams had marvelous characters and they were packed with internationals led by two remarkable managers, those were certainly the days, a far cry and miles away from where both teams sadly are now.

Prior to the rise of Dundee United Aberdeen's traditional rivals were Dundee who had a successful side in the early 60s and were historically the "big team" in the city.
United were the poor relations until Jim McLean knocked them into shape.

I see Roy Keane is showing an interest in the Celtic job. Bad news and not just for the Celts.
I was hoping we'd seen the last of him and Souness north of the border. Thugs.

Terrible away support, the arabs.
Seen less than 200 at pittodrie.
Meanwhile 4-5000 dandies travel to tannadice.
Not the worse travelling support, but a 50 minute drive .

Ehh, don't remember saying that?
Brown just chose to STAIN this country with his presence!

You said brown wouldn't have lasted long in England. Graham Dorrans lasted 9 years for Fleck sake!!!

P.S. The only stains Scott Brown made was staining all the silverware he won with Champaign. The plucky newco only need another 9 league titles, 5 Scottish Cup wins, and 7 League Cups to equal Scott's trophy haul. lol
