"Rangers appear to have let their first Scottish title in 10 years go to their heads.

In a worrying development, the Ibrox club are trying to charge newspapers £25,000 for one reporter and one photographer to attend matches and pre-match press conferences.

The tidy sum will also buy five exclusive interviews and a sit-down with manager Steven Gerrard.

For £10,000, media get access and one exclusive. The response from major newspapers has been cool, but Rangers claim: ‘We are very pleased that we have received positive responses to our media partnership packages.’"

lol lol lol

Nothing like getting your excuses in early!

I'm not saying Scottish refs all go the full McCurry, but one question last season threw up is just what offence would a TRIFC player have to commit for him to get a straight red card? We can safely rule out stamping on opponents, going over the top of the ball and catching your opponents just below the knee, and giving them a forearm smash to the face.

When was the last time a TRIFC picked up a straight red card in a domestic game? I remember Jones getting one against Celtic a couple of seasons ago, and McGregor getting one against Hibs for going totally Miyagi on a Hibs player and kicking him in the back.

I thought Roofe was a tad unlucky to get that straight red card for kicking the Slavia keeper in the face, as he had probably been lulled into the false sense of security of thinking the protective clothing of the newco jersey shielded him from the laws of the game.

He'll no doubt learn, like Morelos did, that foreign refs won't allow him to get away with anything like the offences the Scottish masonic brothers in black do.

Lol, you really are struggling to see how the seperate entity can possibly turn it around aren't you?
When you are the dominant team it tends to be the other sides that pick up the yellows and reds trying to stop you or is this only an issue when your mob are floundering?
The Dhims did ok in the 8.75 years before last?

Dear oh dear. is that actually a serious reply from you

I understand that teams trying to prevent better teams are more likely to pick up cards, but you do realise we saw players from the separate company slap, stamp on, give a forearm smash to, and even grope the General de Gaulle's, of opponents without receiving any red cards, don't you?

I wonder if in 20 years time the current batch of officials will do after dinner speeches to a bunch of boozed up bluenoses and boast about how they cheated Celtic, like the ones we used to complain about back in the day do?

Guys like Kenny Clark who didn't even give big Duncan Disorderly a yellow card for sticking the nut on that Raith Rovers player. I saw him in a clip boasting about how he let a Dundee Untied player kick John Hartson and sarcastically said he was unsighted!

You sound like an absolute crackpot at the best of times! but you have surpassed yourself here!
So you think all ref's are masonic bluenoses and that was the reason you didn't get yer 9.75 in a row?
But you did manage to win almost everything that was going with the same ref's in the those same years!!!
Maybe Ange will get the Nonce fit to save the day for seperate entity fc, eh?

The 10 in a row is gone. Just let it go, you'll feel a lot better!

So, to sum up, no actual explanation of the various offences I posted about not resulting in even one red card, or the fact that a referee actually bragged about letting a Dundee United defender kick John Hartson? I just imagined it?

I didn't mention 10 in a row, or Rangers getting 53.5 and TRIFC being somehow allowed to add their 1 title to that tally. I only posted incidents in which referees made inexplicable decisions, and appear to have allowed their hearts to rule their head. Like I said, maybe they didn't go the full McCurry not many officials go that far, but TRIFC have benefitted from some shocking attempts at officiating.

As for Griffiths, if it were up to me I would just give him whatever money the club owe him for his years contract and tell him to get to Fleck. I highly doubt he'll last as long at Celtic as Richard Gough did at Rangers 1872-2012...
