What do the rest of the Celtic supporters think of the green brigade?
Rather than appearing to be genuine supporters all you hear about them is negativity and their acts embarrassing the club.
They believe they speak for ALL Celtic fans and the club and are out of control. Celtic are complicit in that they accommodate them by giving them their own area in the stadium and (generally) turn a blind eye to the many political, paramilitary and bigoted displays that they have in the stadium. They've been getting away with all sorts for years now under the guise of creating an atmosphere in the ground and although most Celtic fans I know, say that the GB do help in that respect, overall most fans find them an embarrassment to the them and the club.

All that drivel? You're saying Police Scotland officers abusing their powers and carrying out illegal searches is drivel?

What is it with the staunch TRIFC supporters? the truth plays little, or no, part in their day to day lives. You're dismissing outright corruption as drivel because it was carried out by TRIFC supporting police officers.

I'll leave to David Grier's lawyer to sum up Police Scotland's attitude to the law.

Mr Grier’s legal team say Robertson “engaged in sectarian abuse”.

They add: “That a police officer considers that it may be appropriate to sing sectarian songs (‘Hello, hello, we are the Billy Boys’) during a fraud inquiry defies belief.”

The cop who led the Rangers takeover fraud probe was also accused of a “cover-up” — and of being “arrogant, unprofessional and malicious”.

The Court of Session in Edinburgh was told Mr Grier, 57, was one of six people nicked over the £5.5million buyout of the club in 2012. All charges were later dropped.

His advocate, Andrew Smith QC, claimed cops “manipulated” the justice system.

Referring to the detective in charge of the inquiry, he said: “What is clear is that Robertson is engaged in a cover-up.”

Mr Grier’s lawyers claim there was no evidence and the Crown only prosecuted him “because of misrepresentation by Robertson”.

They allege that the DCI’s conduct “displays an arrogant, unprofessional and malicious course of conduct towards potential witnesses”.

It’s also claimed DCI Robertson ignored an email sent by Craig Whyte, 48, proving Mr Grier knew nothing of his £24million Ticketus loan.

Mr Whyte used the cash — secured against season ticket sales — in buying Gers in 2011 from Sir David Murray, 67.

The top cop’s behaviour is described as an “abuse of power” by Mr Grier’s lawyers.

And you seem to think I'm just going to accept whatever they have to say regarding Club 12?

P.S. I don't remember accusing any particular player of singing sectarian songs that night. I believe someone in that room will definitely have sung the "[Poor language removed] The Pope add on. Iirc, there was one guy gesticulating at that point in the song, and I wouldn't be surprised if he had sung it, but it's impossible to say who sang what in that clip.
Have you ever considered talking to a health professional regarding your sad obsession's?

There's no doubt, like most fans groups, they support the team home and away. I can't criticise the support they give the team but, as I said, in my opinion they take themselves too seriously.

Iirc, you said I was obsessed and a bigot, because a posted videos of your fellow supporters rampagingtheir way through Glasgow city centre.

Now it's obsession when I point out Police Scotland are being sued for £100 million ( A HUNDRED MILLION POUNDS! lol) because their TRIFC supporting officers abused their powers and carried out illegal searches, and intimidate people by singing sectarian songs at them! No wonder they don't want videos of sectarian singing to be investigated. :)

I'm beginning to think supporters of Club 12 just hurl these insults around to try and deter people from pointing out what they, and their club, have been doing.

Not like The Union Bears, eh? They're all about the dignity... :coffee:

Glasgow police: Rangers Union Bears threatened 'riot' if cops blocked George Square title march

A briefing paper sent to the Scottish Government reveals the Rangers 'risk' group's request was denied.

A Rangers fan group threatened police with a 'riot' if officers failed to facilitate their planned march from Ibrox to George Square, according to cops.

In a Police Scotland briefing sent to the Scottish Government on May 15 cops told how the Union Bears said they would riot if they were not allowed to have a title winning processions.

In the briefing, the officers state: "The Rangers risk group known as the Union Bears requested police to facilitate a mass procession threatening a 'riot' if this request was not granted.

"The request was denied and engagement continued."

Around 10,000 to 15,000 fans ended up in George Square after Rangers picked up the Scottish Premiership trophy at Ibrox.

Police noted: "As the crowd gathered momentum incidents of violence and anti-social behaviour occurred at various locations within George Square culminating in a number of arrests and a significant number of casualties requiring medical treatment."

I'm all for fans fervently supporting their team, but if we had something akin to them at Everton, it would bug me big time. Looking in from the outside they are too outlandish in their public political views and for me the two don't mix and should always be kept seperate.

It couldn't happen at GP.
Celtic Park was hardly full and the corners were empty,so the fans decided to take up that spot.
It's a shame that both the blue order and green brigade don't drop the daft stuff.

I think a lot of what they do is admirable, but in my opinion they seem to overestimate their importance. They do provide excellent support, but they have habit of singing songs Celtic don't want them to sing.

Probably every fans group do things the club don't approve of, but The Green Brigade's worst crimes appear to be singing Irish rebel songs, and displaying banners with political points.

If you compare that with threatening to riot through the city centre if the police don't agree to 15,00 fans taking over George Square on a Saturday evening, that surely must come way down the list of daft stuff fans do?
