More Rangers fans welcoming Mo Johnston with open arms. The flowers in second is is a wreath! The clubs kit man refused to put out Johnston's kit, ffs. If that's a welcome with open arms, I'd hate to see what they'd be like if they were unhappy with the signing...

It doesn't matter how ludicrous the lie is. If you keep repeating it TRIFC fans will happily accept it, even though they know it's a lie.. So far this season, they've claimed Celtic were getting preferential treatment because they had more fans in the stadium, even though it was pointed out to them that it was a gradual build up and the same for every club.

Their behaviour over their fan zone was appalling. They tried to commandeer the council owned sports facility across from £1brox to use as a fan zone on match days. When the council, quite naturally, refused, they claimed Celtic and Hampden had fan zones, though they neglected to mention they were on land owned by Celtic, and the SFA. They then had several freedom of information request about the spending of councillors who refused their attempt to sanction the newco's land grab. They're bullies by nature. Bullying, and intimidation, is how they roll.

I suppose when your club (or it it the operating company?) chairman is a career criminal who managed to buy his way out of 40 odd years in a South African prison, commandeering someone else's land wouldn't be regarded as a big deal.

Imagine the brass neck of Nicola Sturgeon criticising TRIFC who were rioting in Glasgow city centre! What have things come to when ra bears can't attack riot police on a Sunday evening in George Square without the first minister commenting on their behaviour?

Police Scotland, who's Rangers supporting officers abused their powers recently carried out illegal searches, sang sectarian songs in an attempt to intimidate witnesses, and even claimed Tommy Sheridan's wife was adopting IRA tactics, said when they told the Union Bears fans group who organised the George Square 'celebrations' the fans group said if the police tried to stop it there would be a riot. So, to sum up, there will be a riot if you try to stop it, and if you let the 'celebrations' go ahead there will be an, erm, riot! Talk about a lose lose situation.

The two TRIFC fans on here have summed up the newco's supporters attitude perfectly. They have no interest whatsoever in the truth, or what is right and what is wrong. They only want to hear pleasant lies, no matter how insane those lies are.
The majority of rangers fans welcomed mo Johnston, you can’t judge all by the actions of some and the same goes for Celtic fans, the vast majority of old firm fans are ordinary decent people

I accept that nowadays most TRIFC fans will accept Catholic players, but what does that have to do with the outrageous lie Fraser told, or good point as a couple of posters called it, that Rangers fans welcomed Johnston with open arms?

As I said, not only did the Rangers fans demonstrate outside the stadium, the club kit man refused to put out Johnston's kit!
Once Mo Johnston started banging in the goals, then most of the Rangers support were won over. But as far as i'm concerned, the greatest thing Mo Johnston ever did, was score a derby winner at Goodison. Christmas sure did come early in 1992!

About your man with the wreath, he passed away recently and his son wrote a tribute on a Rangers fanpage he runs on facebook. He posted that same picture as well. I unliked the page straight away. Graeme Souness is a dirty kopite at the end of the day, but he deserves full credit and recognition, for getting rid of the signing policy. Thankfully since then many catholics have played for Rangers, including an irish catholic or two.

The majority of them may not have demonstrated outside Ibrox, and I accept they eventually accepted him when they saw he was a good player, but when the signing was announced the Rangers supporters I worked beside were most definitely not happy about it.

All those years of their "tradishuns" were wiped away. A tradition they now deny happened, btw.

He wasn’t the first Catholic to play for rangers either, I have no time for sectarianism as I have seen what it did to my country

Of course he wasn't, but he was the first high profile Catholic player for several decades, and his signing officially ended the anti-Catholic employment policy of Rangers, a policy their fans now deny ever happened.

This, of course, was a long time ago. Why Murdo Fraser would want to bring this up, and make up ludicrous lies about it, and others things, only he can tell you, but it looks to me like the Tories are trying to court TRIFC fans and Orange Order members, for votes.

Sadly, it seems to be working. How any working class person can seriously believe the Tories are the party for them is beyond me.

I don’t live in Scotland but I wouldn’t be voting Tory if I did

Celtic have already played the first leg of the other tie haven't they?

I think they'll just give Midtjylland's next opponents a bye tbh, if they do anything

I genuinely hope the Danes haven't fielded an ineligible, as they won the game without any controversial incident, but if they have field an ineligible player the game should be awarded to Celtic with a 3 - 0 scoreline.

If Celtic go through against Jablonec, maybe Celtic could take could take the Danes place in the Europa League, and Jablonec could play AZ 67?

Johnston did score one of Evertons goals, but i think it was actually Peter Beardsley who scored the winner. Mo Johnstons Everton career never really took off, unlike Beardsley, who was a great player in a poor enough Everton team.
