Disgraceful word to use, that’s incredibly offensive to people who suffer from dwarfism. Doubly offensive from someone who lied about me using the phrase ‘coloured’ a couple of weeks ago.

Lets face it, a lot of people think coloured is the correct term for people of colour, and calling people of colour black is the wrong term. That some people, mostly older, aren't well-informed in which particular term is deemed acceptable at any given time doesn't make them a racist. Was Corky really banned for using that term?

It seems to me that there is a bit of bullying on here when it comes to Corky. I accept he does say some daft things occasionally, who doesn't?, but he doesn't come across as a bad person to me.

Nah not having that mate, ignorance is no defence.

And using the phrase ‘coloured’ when referring to a person has been offensive for decades.

My workmate says his pal, who is anti-racism, calls black people coloured, and argues with my mate that calling black folk black is out of order. That isn't being racist. It's being completely out of touch, but it's not racist.

I reckon things like this is one of the reasons why a lot of people complain about 'WOKE' things. You have people online firing off horrible accusations at people they haven't met. People are too quick to dish out all kinds of insults online. I can only speculate as to the reasons why they do this, but it's wrong, in my opinion.

Being a Celtic fan, I don't tend to stick up for Rangers fans too often, but I try to be honest. From what I've seen Corky post on here, he doesn't come across as being bad in the slightest, and I haven't seen one post of his that I think could make any reasonable person accuse him of being a racist.

He posted numerous offensive comments about Palestinians in the CA section. Presumably that's what prompted the accusation, not any use of the word 'coloured'.

Anyway no wish to argue with you, you're entitled to your view.

Yes he did use that term, yes he was banned .
