Walcott - bruised rib. That happened because of a heavy fall. F all to do with the club. It's a bad landing.
Coleman - stress fracture on int'l duty
Keane - clash of heads, again not to do with training
Schneiderlin - hamstring, in a game

None of those are to do with the club.

Bernard overdid himself in training after five months not playing. Gomes and Mina both had injuries coming in.

That being said, I don't think our medical team in the last few years have been up to scratch at all. The current head physio seems useless.
Jags?

FFs. Has anybody heard the WhatsApp audio going around of Stephen Ward speaking about Roy Keane & the Ireland training camps? For a very long time Keane has basically run around the training ground going absolutely mental at people who are sitting out injured. The guy is insane.

He is a knobhead, always has been, and don't start me on his "hardman" persona.

O'Neill is sweating that Everton can get Seamus fit in time for the next internationals. I am sure he has our best wishes in this admirable aspiration.
International managers annoy me when they send a player back to their club injured without even a hint of regret or apology.

It isn't the fault of the international manager but some recognition of the cost and hardship it causes the club would not go astray.

Can I just say the Irish are not a 'race' so being humorous/disrespectful with a potato based comment does not constitute racism.
There was a time when maybe we (Irish people) were sensitive about jokes or other characterisations of the Irish people. I think that because of our improved education and prosperity , in no small part due to our membership of the EU we just laugh off comments that some may call racist.
However, it is a fact that in the 1800's the Irish people did largely depend on the potato as the main source of food, it is a fact that the crops failed and that millions of people died... MILLIONS. At the same time in Ireland grain was being grown but this was brought to the ports and sent over to England when it could have been left and saved countless lives.

I know that no disrespect is meant and that people very often unaware of the history that surrounds the potato famine, but , the fact remains it was a tragedy in the scale of the holocaust ... and I don't see to many smart remarks about that on here.

You can say it yes, but you won’t necessarily be correct. There’s no universally accepted definition of race in this context, and many would argue that Irish is a race, due to a sense of shared historical, social and cultural influences across an island.

Gutted about Coleman though.
