He was decent enough today. It's his play in possession that is a problem and as an extension of that his ability to cover space when we are pushed higher up. Games like today he can handle. Problem is I don't trust Holgate to be more useful in possession or Kenny to cover space better.

If we are going to play out, which isn't to his strengths, then he needs replaced. It's nothing personal. He remains one of our best of the 21st century. He has a role in the squad. But let's not do what we always do and stick by players for 3 or 4 years too long.
