Seems to keep happening at Everton.
Players remain first choice not only beyond their peak, but right down the other side as well.
Other serious clubs don't piss about when a player has gone past his best, they're left behind. Should be what's best for the club, not the players.
Bill says Hi.
What’s Jose Baxter’s number again

Can’t cross a ball. Over a decade at a top club training every day and he still can’t cross a ball. It’s completely negligent. If anyone else had ten years in a job and still couldn’t do a major part of it they’d have been moved out a long time ago.

I could stomach it when he could defend but he can’t even do that now. What’s the point of having competition in the squad if we don’t use it. Time for Sidibe to come in. Who knows, maybe the tactic of getting full backs to cross all the time might work better if the full backs can actually cross the ball!

You’re obviously a Coleman fan and with a name like dannyboy I wonder where you’re from.

Anyway, its my opinion and he has been shocking. And the system we play it relies on the full backs, digne can’t be great every week, but he’s not getting help from the other flank.

Even in his prime Coleman’s final ball/cross was very average. He’s always lacked composure in the final 3rd most of his crosses are smashed across the box in hope it hits something. But a few years ago his determination, drive to get in box and commit defenders, scoring a few goals. made up for his deficiencies. Unfortunately that side of his game is long gone and we are now left with a championship standard full back.

An Evertonian being a fan of one of our best players in recent times... Shocker. I think it's obvious his levels have dropped off but the abuse he takes in here for average performances isn't fair.

He shouldn’t be taking abuse, but if we were still shopping in the the bargain basement then maybe he should be in the team, but we’re not anymore. Let’s be honest he needs replacing and fast. He says all the right things in the media and I do believe he gives his all but he’s simply just not good enough and hasn’t been for a couple of years.

Needs to be binned - unfortunately
This isn’t the time to be sentimental. Get him out of that team.
