Third strongest league in the world.

You have to see it as a league where some positions are stronger and more expected from than others. The GKs are top class and better than any other league on average. The strikers are usually pony. It's also a good league for handing younger players a chance to shine.

The GKs are top class?????

Leno has been garbo.

But not as bad as Nick Pope.

I dont think you'd get too many people agreeing that the Germans dont produce great GKs.

Take out obvious star GKs, on average they are better than their PL counterparts.

Yes.

Brands said it was to monitor his progress with a view to making a decision at the end of the season regarding first team options.

Kenny has much to learn, but he's good enough to play PL games for all but the top 6 at the moment and he can hold his own with Coleman even now, imo.

He's slotted in early at Schalke and the manager looks to have faith in him. The Bundesliga will give him plenty of big stadium experience too.
I do believe that is exactly why he was sent out on loan , to a good standard club and to a good league.
I think he is one of the very few players they cannot be certain of and a year away will help them decide if he has the quality to come back to replace Seamus.

I think that hardly any of the other young players that have gone out on loan will be brought back, it is a means of them getting into the shop window with a view to building a career elsewhere. If any of them have a stellar season the club always has the option of bringing them back.

Kenny's loan is defo in the spirit that Coleman himself was sent out to Blackpool.

His best days are behind him. Lost a yard of pace, can't cross above chest height no matter how hard he tries, consistently takes one touch too many in both defensive duty and bombing forward and as a defender he is quite average. His awareness of who is around him and reading of the play for the first goal conceded on Sunday is evidence of this.

Fabulous player at his peak but not anymore. I think as the season progresses Sidibe will be getting more and more minutes (if he settles).

Disagree, Alexander Arnold isn't all that - typical kopite hype
Him and Robertson are perfect for the system Klopp has designed in which they are more or less wingers as all the midfield carthorses do the defensive duties instead. Unfortunately the current setup for talking about football discusses anyone who is playing fullback on the little graphics at the start of the match like they are a defender so that is what those two have to be called.

In reality the very top teams are using fullbacks either as attackers or midfielders. They really don't give two tosses about whether they can defend. Seriously the top guys in recent times, Marcelo, Dani Alves, Alaba, Alonso under Conte, Kimmich and I'm sure others are average at best as classic defenders but exceptional at either being wingers or slightly wider set midfield players. City's fullbacks are also good examples of how this is currently being done. Zinchenko and Delph both did a job at LB because they weren't really doing classic LB things.

All this to say Coleman being somewhat questionable defensively doesn't mean he is finished if he can keep being at least reasonably threatening going up the wing. The problem on that front is his technique for crossing is woeful and probably not good enough if Sidibe is able to produce going forward too.

It does. There is a vast difference between Everton & Coleman and the names and their respective clubs you've mentioned. Those clubs play a style where they control the vast amount of possession, they've always got control of possession and in their opponents final 3rd.
