2020/21 Seamus Coleman

He might be missing a few yards of pace with injuries and age, but he shows immense desire to do his best. The runs that he made in both directions, I don't get the negativity some of us have around him. He has served us well over the years, am sure he knows his sun is setting. He does not need hatred / discontent from us. If he plays, it's because the manager thinks he is good enough to play. Most of us do not have any insight into what the manager sees. Personally, I like to see a player give his best regardless of his skillsets. Coleman fits that bill perfectly.

Oh, and I am mighty pissed off at Neil Taylor :p
Spot on mate, great post.

Can't argue with much of the content of your post, but to go forward we need to improve his position,as for hatred doubt he's a forum member and a high percentage is just venting.

The thing that impressed me the most in the West Ham game. In the second half when Coufal went LB against Coleman, at one point of time both of them collided, and Coleman gave him rage and fury in full measure. Coufal was visibly subdued. I know Coufal is a hard man, watch his handling of Grealish in their game against Villa (I watch West Ham, because.... :p ). For Coleman to shut Coufal up was hilarious to see. Unrelated, Coufal is West Ham's Coleman-in-making (personal opinion).

The first few comments sum it up.

He has said before he will never play for another English club.

If we jib him off though then that may change his mind, I would imagine he would go to Celtic or somewhere for a couple of seasons though.

Going to be a big challenge for him if Grealish is fit Thursday.

Would keep with 3 at the back and give him some more cover as Grealish/Traore are a bag of tricks and very fast.

Still think he's comfortably better than half the right backs in the league. Everton through and through and shows the passion I want of a captain. Keep on keeping on Seamus.
