The RS players and manager a few years ago talked about champions league and finally wining the league when they where finishing well outside the top four. We all had a right laugh back then. But the supporters went along with it. And believed in it. As we laughed some more and called them cringe.

We hurl abuse. Demand in a negative way we want results. And wonder why us?

And a few years later they won a champions League and a premier league mate that's the big difference

A few years on from Coleman saying it we are still mid table, trophyless in 25 years getting beat at home by newly promoted teams.

Who's hurling abuse? Just saying in my opinion if rather Coleman stop issuing these rallying calls everytime we have a bad spell, each to their own init

Because as I said we didn’t buy into it back then. It was met with shut up Coleman and do your job proper. Met with negativity. I personally don’t give a bollox what he says in the media I am indifferent. But I’m not going to have a go at him and especially when all he is doing is trying to lift moral and instill some believe. Be it on deaf ears or not.

I tell ye what if I was a player and I had ambition and drive and was telling people Everton will be going for trophies sooner or later. And it was met with a lot of Evertonians giving me stick. I would find it hard to play and give everything for us. It defo can’t be helpful.

Its like some would want Seamus to say "we are crap and the fans are getting what they deserve "
Whatever he says they'll still moan.


Been a massive miss while he's been out injured btw.

Who didn't buy into back then? I've always thought we should be challenging for trophies.

I don't really care what he says to the media, but it has become tiresome when he's been saying the same thing for about 6 years when in that time we haven't even come close to lifting trophies.

It doesn't have to be so black and white, as in you come out and say we are crap or we are going to win trophies. Just say nothing and let your talking do on the pitch.
 

I think you will find last season even when Liverpool had a 99 million point lead klopp was trying to lessen expectations by saying crap like it’s not over till it’s mathematically impossible and that the players are not thinking about trophies they are just focusing on 1 game at a time etc.

Coleman comes across as a lad to me that doesn’t lie. He has postitove hopes and dreams. Been playing for us for over ten years and been one the best rb in league on occasions. He can’t help things out of his control. Including negative fans and moshiri decisions. But he has goals and he wants the best for Everton he’s on our side. He’s a blue and again one that doesn’t come across as a bs artist or a liar.

You don’t have to give a bollox what he says but I can’t see meeting him talking about trophies with negativity no matter how bad our form is or how we have been for years as something helpful.
