He’s going down the same path the likes of Jags did, staying with us so far past his peak that you don’t remember them being any good. It tarnishes his reputation with the club, IMO he should have had a replacement come in for him a few seasons ago; now he’s stinking the gaff out constantly, it’s difficult to watch as he was such a good signing.

It happens to everyone eventually at every club unless they are replaced.

Even Sharpie etc got it at the end.

Sad really but understandable I suppose.

Yeah and I get that, but his decline has been as rapid as Jags yet we haven’t learned from it, which is a shame as it’s hard to watch him play as poorly as he does now.

He should’ve been used like Baines was, but we didn’t bring anyone in.

Dunno. He was decent at the start of the season but he’s been consistently picking up injuries and having dips in form for a while now. Not the player he was and needs replacing imo.
Certainly agreed his career is ending but was quietly confident we could get through this season without a replacement. Got bigger priorities for me, play holgate if need be and come back to this in the summer

Brain dead interview was partly the fault of the interviewer. I think he said we go again about 5 times. What about "that was a terrible game to watch Seamus, why do you think it was?" Followed by "was the team not bothered if they scored or not?"

The team lacks balance with Digne out injured.
Godfrey has done brilliantly but is not a natural attacking left back and Richarlison is certainly suffering for his absence.
A lot of teams now attack down the wing and when one wing is blunted it becomes easier for teams to shut down the other wing.

We do not have the number or quality of player to allow the manager to change the formation of the team.

We just don't have the squad that you need to be a top four club.
