True although we simply can't have Kenny as a serious option at RB this summer mate and Holgate doesn't get forward enough to be a serious option there.
Why this obsession with fullbacks going forward? It's come about in modern football but you don't have t do it all the time.
Townsend can take care of that and just think - we could put Richarlison out on the right and put James in the middle.

I'd put Godfrey in at RB.

Played there before and will do a great job.
Not sure about a great job I remember him getting ragged everywhere by Liverpool. Just stood there and let them get cross after cross in.

No. He was not.

He can get up and down that line all day and provide support for Townsend.

….I agree, he’s not an awful RB. His weakness, though, is certainly his composure and quality in possession (aside from a terrific through ball for DCL at West Ham).

Godfrey is mostly about what he brings to the side in a defensive capacity. Whilst he’d be a capable back-up, we ultimately need a conventional RB capable of linking with his winger and providing threat in the top third.

Poach? Neither Rice or Grealish are Irish.
I think TippBlue is referring to the fact that Grealish could have elected to play for Ireland as at least his grandparents are Irish. I’m not sure about his own parents but he did used to play Gaelic football as a kid. I don’t think that qualifies him as being poached though. He might embrace his Irish heritage but at a professional level with the standard of footballer he is unless he was born there it would be a big shock if he would have elected to play for Ireland
