Coleman has more class and dignity in a discarded toenail than spitty and that mob could ever have in a lifetime.
Fully agree, we may have wanted him to be more vocal to refs in matches as our captain. But in terms of sticking up for his teammates the club and how he conducts himself on and off the pitch is just pure class. Also a very humble human being. Top man!

I wonder how much his advice and inspiration in training have brought Patterson on. Must be great to have such a passionate and selfless Captain that has your back whether he is on the pitch or on the sidelines.

TBH, today was a cauldron of a match for our newer players, and DG they rose to it.

On reflection the speech FL made in the dressing room after the Palace game was more or less saying Seamus role as first choice (and maybe as captain) had drawn to an end, taking the pressure off him.
Perhaps Seamus’ role now is to mentor and develop some of the younger players on the squad and be there in case of emergency.
Can see him having a go at his coaching badges in a seasons time.

Absolutely no chance, he's much too nice to be a manager. I reckon he's on the first plane or boat home and straight back playing Gaa for Killybegs while he still can. He was a top player at Under 18 level. Many of his peers went on to win All Ireland for Donegal in 2012.

Seamus can be a great influence for all the aspiring younger players in the way he trains and conducts himself. He is Dependable too if he isn’t flogged to death and is required to close out games and steady the ship.

You get the impression no-one will be more chuffed about Patterson's development than Seamus himself. Always a class act and as you say, dependable.
