Dave, I never mentioned bringing in a deputy.
Spot on, Seamus Coleman will always give us 100% but, as much as I love the guy, his 100% is not going to cut it in situations like the one we find ourselves in now. We needed (need) a decent seasoned Premier League standard RB that Patterson (or whoever) could have been an 'understudy' to, with Coleman either being 3rd choice, part of our backroom staff, or simply no longer with Everton at all.
I think Coleman was the difference between a pont at City and another defeat.

He'll be the difference again in the coming weeks somewhere along the line too.

But we cant expect him to be playing 20 games in the coming months, and I'm not saure about anyone stepping into that role.

We need an emergency signing for RB. A loan deal maybe.

There is nothing to move on from, Coleman is who we have to step in, and we have him because our Club failed to address the Right-Back position over many seasons. That's not the fault of the player, it's the fault of Everton.
How many times have we had the chance to sign someone like Aarons?

It's criminal we haven't sorted this position out since Coleman's age and injuries caught up with him.

If we could get a decent RB on loan, that would be ideal. Preferably bring one in who can remember to put both of his socks on this time. Wasn't it Djibril Sidibe who was only wearing one sock when he tried to come on the field as a substitute? :D

Still club captain and he'll be horrified that we are back in the same situation where another manager is going to be sacked, especially one who couldn't praise Seamus enough.

So this evening, we're going to need you to wind back the years and put in an immense performance if you want to try and help Lampard save his managerial career.
