Bit harsh that imo

Why are you using the great name of the superb Giulia Bould in vain?
Harsh but true Grouch.
Would not want injury bestowed on him, that's unfortunate on him and without doubt he's been tremendous for us over the years but serious question time, when was the last time he strung two decent games together for us?
Crazy for a modern day full back/ wing back to be playing twice a week for club and Country aged 35.
I'm trying to be as kind as I can here but it's time for Seamus to consider his options.

Is he really getting pelters for getting injured?

Poor that if it’s the case.

How about valid criticism that at 35 and over the past 5 seasons repeated injuries - many of them on international duty, he should either put the club that's paying his wages above representing his country or should retire from the game if he can't make that sacrifice.

At what point is it fair to criticise a person for actions that continually lead to the same result?

No doubt the club will rehab him, get him back to being able to play again and he will instantly go to the next international call up and come back injured, be interesting to see what percentage of internationals compared to club games he's been available for over the last 5 years actually.

A lot of players call a day on international football to prolong their careers.

Evidently with us, he hasn't needed to do that.

And I'd dare say a lot of those players are given a choice by the club over game time and renewed contracts if they don't.

His extension should have been dependant on him stepping away from international duty.

Can’t believe you’re suggesting Mr Everton would do such a thing. Don’t you know what he’s sacrificed for us?!

The club get insurance payments on wages for injuries sustained on international duty.

I’m not arguing about valid criticism but for someone who gives his all for club and country I just think it’s harsh to come down hard on the lad.
