anyway, we need to see kenny for the rest of the season imo. I was dissapointed koeman didn't go with him, but unsurprising, we saw the result of playing holgate out of position, so would love to see kenny for united. We're either going to have to buy a new RB in the summer or play a rotation of youngsters whilst waiting for coleman to return (and he may not return the same player), so we've seen a bit of what holgate and browning can offer, i want to see what an actual right back can do too. Season will be totally over if we lose to united, but i can't see us getting better than 6th anyway, so nothing to lose imo.

Cant agree there Jack ...Holgate should have started in Penningtons position with maybe Lennon right wing back in a 5...with the ability to track back.

lennon would be another square peg. Kenny, by all sounds is a like for like backup for coleman. He's captained our youth teams, international teams to success so he obviously has a bit of character too. He's been his backup since hibbert went and yet has had one solitary sub appearance, i think choosing centre backs to play there is a bit safe and we really do miss coleman more because we then play differently as a consequence.

Put Kenny in and its the same scenario 2 kids on our right side.
Not saying Lennon is the answer but his experience and able to track back might have been valueable.

...I think Kenny will be given his chance but whether he plays for 'the rest of the season' will surely depend on how he does.

It's a complete myth that Lennon adds to us defensively (at least this season).

Any time he's played he's let his opposite player completely drift away from him.

In hindsight though, yes, Pennington in there was a mistake. Should have stuck with a four at the back.

Sheamus and Morgan are huge blows to our run in. Its only been one bloody game ffs :(

Nah it won't will it. When has it ever?

There have been some very happy times....
