Not surprised but still disappointed by his fairly Brexity comments on the England manager in his press conference today.

Do most people want an English manager? Or do most people not care?

It strikes me that you’re either not bothered about England or you want them to win. So who are these people demanding a substandard manager because they are English?

He is the union rep for the English managers congress, I suppose. So shouldn’t be surprised,
Without making it a nationalist thing, England were already really close to winning a trophy with Southgate as manager. Surely if you can get a fraction better of an English manager, they're going to win trophies.

Now if they win something under Tuchel, it'll be, 'Yes our system created all these amazing English players, but we needed a non English manager to deliver the goods'

They should have just focused on how good the squad they have is, and how that's going to get them over the line in the end.

Mina was on the bench for over 10 games. So it’s very understandable why people think he shoehorns Keane in.

As I say, on the bench, should be fit enough to play. And dyche has a history of keeping players out to ensure they are fully fit so as not to aggravate injury (which I agree with as look at DCL now staying fit) but then just includes others who aren’t fully fit?
Would be great now that he`s fit if he could start slotting a few more goals before he leaves in the summer on a free.

Haha yes, that’s a great setup for when the next manager comes in and makes him look like the dinosaur he is. “Well Dyche laid the foundations for him”

Looking forward to seeing what his next job is.
If Friedkin buy no players and bring in a manager who get these to play non percentage football, I'll never post again. Make a lot of people happy 🤣

We bought players in the summer to play non percentage football. Ndiaye, Lindstrom, Mangala, Iroegbunam are all technical footballers and as far as I’m aware haven’t camped on the edge of their own box waiting to hoof it clear at any of their previous clubs.

Can’t have it both ways.

He’s either managing a squad that’s mid table and capable of top ten (as some have said on here). If that is the case then when he took us over we definitely did not have a mid table squad capable of top ten so he has by definition laid better foundations for the next manager than what was here when he arrived.

Or he hasn’t laid any foundations and the squad is still as poor as it was when he picked it up, in which case you’d have to give him some credit for getting 48 points last season.

Out of all the players we’ve signed since he’s been here, I’d say Ashley Young and Harrison were his picks.

Even the players are on his side.

Just need that quiet minority who are always on the gaffers back to get in line and support the team.

He said: “Sean Dyche is a top manager. He’s worked in the Premier League for such a long time so I think that shows his level.

Get him on GOT. We could use a few recruits in the Dyche-ians

Isn't he aiming at being our next goalkeeper coach? It's not like he's gonna come out and call Dyche a Thatcher loving dinosaur is it. I do feel there's a good vibe around the squad in general though and they have eachothers backs though.

Not seen anything like this camaraderie since Howard kendal was in charge the first time.
