On reflection it is the football, because I can avoid watching his pressers and post match but interviews, the football, however, I am stuck with. I don't advocate sacking him now, I still think he can keep us up this season, but, provided we have new owners by the end of the season it has to be a case of thanks for all you've done Sean, see you. Oh God the day can't come quick enough for me.

It's all of it. He's horrible, at his job and as a human. I imagine every time he sniffs his fingers he thinks of Thatcher.

Branthwaite in, fitness improved, attitude of players improved, managed the points deductions well, developed Onana as an asset, derby win, wage bill reduced and net spend down whilst points per game up.

As for moving forward. What I’d do right now is give him a one year extension, just because we can pay him out of it at any moment. If him or the players down tools because they know he’s going at the end of the season the cost of relegation is far far greater. Just give him a year and remove that risk off the table.

We get to the end of this season and there’s three scenarios (assuming we’ve been taken over, if we haven’t these are pointless)

1 - we’ve improved again on points total. If we’re in the mid 50s it’s difficult to dump a manager who’s taken you forward two seasons in a row. We extend by one year, gives the new owner time to find the right candidate and Dyche an opportunity to see if improvement continues.

2/3 - we’ve stayed the same or got worse. The new owner can then just pay out his final year and put his new man in place this summer.

At that point we will hopefully be a stable mid table PL club in a new stadium with a new owner and the worst of PS&R behind us. I’ll say thanks to Dyche for a good job under extremely difficult circumstances at the beginning of his time here and recognise that Everton benefitted financially at what was a critical juncture from having 2 and a half years of the same manager managing a squad that brought wages back in line, moved on some of the high earning deadwood, and developed players like Branthwaite Garner Onana into saleable assets for the club. I’ll also say thanks for improving some of the minimum standards in the squad of fitness and professionalism which had all but disappeared under previous managers.

I’m not calling for a 5 year deal, I’m not making an altar to him, I don’t think he’s the best Everton manager in our PL history or even in the top 3. He was in my view though the right man at the right time who did a very decent job.

What I do take issue with though is the same negative core of people who just get off on absolutely annihilating Everton at every opportunity. It’s Dyche today but it was Ancelotti before this and Moyes before that and it will be whoever we get through the door next. They’ll go almost entire seasons barely making a positive post about anything. Its now in the realms of just making stuff up, slamming the club for being linked with players who we’ve not even signed, predicting the most negative outcomes possible before every single game.

Congratulations you were right yesterday but you were also wrong before Arsenal, wrong before Leeds, wrong before Leicester, wrong before Brighton away, wrong before Bournemouth, wrong before Brentford away, wrong before Brentford home (both seasons), wrong before Liverpool at home, countless times you came on here with glee telling everyone how we would get battered and you were proven utterly wrong. So congratulations for ‘we all knew 100% what would happen when we saw the team sheet’ - I guess it happens 100% of the times except for when it doesn’t.

You were right yesterday but you were wrong when you gleefully predicted we’d go down in 22/23, wrong saying Luton were a better side than us, wrong when you slammed the club for buying Lingard Che Adams Kalvin Phillips Wout Weghorst, wrong when you mocked Pickford, wrong when you were convinced Branthwaite wouldn’t play ahead of Keane, wrong when you were convinced Iroegbunam wouldn’t play in the first team.

Why does this clown need an extension no one else wants him, you leave it as it is then say bye when his contact runs out. Other than that IF a takeover happens hopefully they will jettison the joker.

I think the fact that evidentially we are not going to win a game after going a goal down at home may have contributed to the booing , but it was reactive and was a reflection of the despondency and lack of belief from the crowd .
( I didn’t boo by the way , in fact I accepted that at least 2 points had been lost with a wry smile and a mental shrug.)

22/23 season
Played 12, Conceded 22 (1.8 per game), including two 3 in one game, four in two games, conceded 3+ in three games (3 once, 4 twice)
Didn't play 26 Conceded 35 (1.3 per game), conceded 3 twice.

To further add to that as well all but one of his starts came under Dyche, not the wide open defence of lampard.....

21/22 season
Played 32 games
Conceded 57 (1.8 per game) conceded 3 or more 9 times (3 five times, 4 once, 5 three times)
Didn't play 6
Conceded 9 (1.5 per game) - conceded 3 twice.
 
Also It becomes more clear on why dyche was always apprehensive about why dyche never plated Patterson when he was fit because he had no premier league experience lol 😂
 

To think our most likely route back into the game was down to DCL going over theatrically when he stood on dunks ankle.

Surely a player who has looked head and shoulders better than another player in same position, warrants a start in the team??.

Ndiaye sitting on the bench with dacoure getting the nod wasnt just depressing or mind boggling..it was scandalous.

Barring injuries, i dont want to see anything other than harrison and mcneil battling it out for the wide attacking left side.
 
In his last 50 games for us we've conceded three or more goals in 16 of those games basically one in every three games. We concede four or more once in every 5 games. And five or more once in every 12 games

3 - 7 games
4 - 5 games
5 - 3 games
6 - 1 game

In the 62 games he didn't play we conceded three goals seven times, never conceded more than that though. Roughly once every eight games

Missing stat without him last season we conceded 31 in 31 games.

I rest my case m'lord
 
A new buy out will clear out most thing including Dyche after his contract runs out - He has had no offer for an extension - the footbal so called is relegation football no pace no midfield - no wingers - no fullbacks ......

We all can clearly see why they would not let him get close to any sort of control at that Arsenal. Until he's gone expect more of the same. We should be hounding this guy out, week in week out. Forget the 'premier league corrupt' protest that does nothing and takes focus away from the issue, we should be doing everthing we possibly can to get rid of Moshiri, force him to take a loss and go. There must be a way!

I think he is making a real effort to get out but as you said the damage is great so it's probably difficult
