2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

I don’t think the football is anything we want to see as fans and I am fairly fed up watching utter garbage. But we’re all inclined to give a manager more leeway if they are getting results. We’re 4 points above the relegation zone so it’s not really been a triumph so far but I can’t imagine anyone pulling the trigger just yet.

While I’m sceptical about the current board getting a replacement appointment right the reality if the situation is they won’t do anything and we may not have much financial wriggle room to fire or to improve the squad in January so it’s just a rubbish situation all round.

I’m just clinging on to the hope TFG comes in and sorts this mess out.

Not making excuses at all mate, haven't been happy at all with the last performances - i posted a critique last night, everyone takes collective responsibility for that.

If performances aren't good enough, ill critique it.

Last two have been worrying.
Fair enough at least you admit it. Radio silence, of course, from Dychette #1 (you know who he is his) on here...

Who are the next great managers coming out of Spain, if you could name e.g 2?

Difficult to say, but some names that are etablished and not so old. There are obviously names like Marcelino and Valverde that have been doing a good job basically everywhere they've been.

Claudio Giraldez of Vigo or Inigo Perez of Vallecano, but they have only about 30 games each.

And then Jagoba Arrasate, he would work well in the prem. 46 still but has been worked in La Liga for several years on a low budget showing decent football. Never finished lower than 11th.

Dyche should have been sacked after losing the first four games

He’s not going anywhere until the ownership is sorted. Didn’t see the game yesterday, busy shift. I can’t believe we aren’t going out to win these games instead of going not to lose. Why not try Beto alongside Calvert a Lewin and go more direct. We change subs but don’t appear to change our tactics.

We have tactics?

Id be surprised if we do it mate as i say, i think we have to get to Lampard territory in the table and ill also be surprised if we do.

If we do he will be judged on that - let be honest its a results industry with 100s at millions at play - he will know that more then most.
He doesn't care fella, it's obvious he is happy taking his wedge while constantly whinging about how tough he's got it and throwing players under the bus.

Too stubborn, too 1 dimensional, too poor a manager, no plan B.

He needs to be gone, can't ever see him at a top flight team again and rightly so!

If accepting this as ok is the way our club is happy to operate, we truly are the joke we are often made out to be from the outside. He should’ve been sacked last night - the fact he still hasn’t is a disgrace. Get a grip Everton and understand the dross he is turning out every week is not acceptable to the people who have dragged this club from the brink too many times already!

One of the many things about Dyche I can't understand is why he is seemingly unwilling to admit that he is making an terrible mistake by not having Branthwaite back in. He tried to justify it before yesterdays game by saying that the felt that the two centre backs who are currently in the team were playing well. That is either a huge lack of judgement, a convenient lie, so that he can keep Tarkowski and Keane in, or a wind up. One of those centre backs has been mince for weeks now, and I don't mean Keane. Whether Tarkowski is unfit, carrying a knock, or just in a terrible run of form, he has been well short of his level.

I suspect Dyche is aware of this but is afraid to drop Tarkowski, for a whatever reason. Get him out of the firing line and if, as I suspect, his problem is that he has been playing through an injury, let him have time to get himself fit. I really fail to see his problem, he would be replacing Tarkowski with a player who is our best defender, by a mile.
