The answer is that standing still often means going backwards in football.

Failing to grasp this has been Everton's problem for a very, very long time.

Going backwards is going backwards in football mate.

Creating unnecessary instability while also selling your best players.

Bite your hand off to go back four seasons and stay still.

IF Thelwell has anything about him he should have a succession plan, coaches that match his own philosophy, if he doesn`t I don`t think he is doing his job.

IF Thelwell still thinks Dyche is the right man then Thelwell is part of the bigger problem.

Oh look, first defeat in 6 and the bare-faced liar is back.

Marginally, but we`re rapidly sliding back to that postion.

When the press are calling his tactics " football from another era " the alarm bells should be ringing all over the club.

Arguably.

The press? Which esteemed journo was it? I know how many on GOT respect the opinions of all football journo’s.

But we were in a worse state when he took over? Yes???
Don’t think anyone seriously disputes that, mate.

The point for me is the trajectory has deteriorated this season.

People basically ignoring the warning signs, crossing their fingers and saying well he’s streaky and sorted it out last season in the end.

Fine margins and that.

Personally hoping that the takeover gets sorted asap and we get reinforcements both on the pitch and in the dugout in Jan.

Every club in world football has sacked a manager mate - I don’t see the point.

Point of order though Mordor haven’t sacked a manager in almost a decade, City either. Arsenal half a decade.

Erm, what on earth is your point supposed to be here

Just so I’ve got this right, because a load of teams that have been improving year upon year and clearing up trophies between them have kept their managers, that means we should keep hold of our 32% win ratio relegation specialist who’s been relegated twice?

As above, how has that worked out for us. Its been rung after rung down the ladder.

If it was easy and we were good at it - we wouldn't have to continually do it.

You can see the cyclical problem.
It’s worked as in we haven’t been relegated which I’m sure we would have been if Benitez lampard etc would have stayed

Are you being serious?

You want me to justify that point with a response?

Okay.

Erm. RS have had Klopp. Does that help with your understanding?

Signing off now from replying to you any more as you're another WUM by the sound of it.

Fair play to you i'd doff my hat to you if I had one.
