I'll never understand why people get so worked about the guff that managers come out with in press conferences. They're just fulfilling a commitment, they don't want to be there and they're giving bland generic answers to bland generic questions. If hearing Dyche say 'on the grass' or 'PL fit' makes you have a seizure then just don't listen to his press conferences, it's not like you're going to miss out on some incredibly important piece of information that never gets reported anywhere else.

Somehow he always manages to find away to say a lot and say nothing at the same time.

To me his comments on Branthwaite today indicate why the short-termism of his tenure is a problem. The club spends all summer trying to protect an asset they value at 70m and then Dyche says what he does today because he has no care about the future of the club or Branthwaite.
