I know what you're saying mate but if we hit a horror run now, and they leave him in place, I genuinely fear he might get lynched at Goodison.

You have to handle pressure that's the very well paid job mate, i mean that from the manager and also execs at the club.

We need somewhere close to 20 points by the new year, horror run or no.

I keep hearing about ambition, but then i see everyone bricking themselves over these fixtures, sure we might get stuffed, but we shouldn't be afraid of them, we should take them on. If the worse comes to the worse we have options and we are heading into a window, with hopefully an improvement in cashflow.

Id like some of the players back and fit in the few weeks to add depth heading into this period.

We’re in a horror run now, im not having this 1 defeat in 8 crap as a sign of good things.

We need some unexpected wins big time, regardless of performances. Hope we ge them, for all our sakes including the managers, as much as I’ve got zero time for him.

Oh, I'm not saying recent results are a sign of good things, I'm just saying if we don't win vs United or Wolves then it's gonna get very ugly for him. Going beyond that, it could get even worse.

Lynching is a bit over the top. I know you mean verbal lynching and not the type once common in the US.

🤷‍♂️ Yeah, I'm not expecting anybody to literally string him up, but then you knew that anyway, so not sure why you had to say it was over the top :hayee:

Seriously though, if we were to pick up say 1 point from the next three games, then it's gonna get very ugly if he's still in place.

Lynching is a bit over the top. I know you mean verbal lynching and not the type once common in the US. I think the crowd apathy makes a verbal lynching unlikely. So we carry on living in hope new owners kick him out, hopefully before we get into serious relegation trouble.

Ive been thinking about this over the weekend, there are a couple of influences i think that are undermining, things are increasingly getting toxic - whether that is fair or not is debatable, but it is a factor. These players never thrive in that environment.

Second thing is the short term nature of this squad - the majority of this squad and the manager arent here in 7 months time, will the really pull out all the stops, battle and fight for this club, knowing they are somewhere else. Im seeing that in some players more and more.

Both those things, i thin are different then what we have to deal with in the past couple of years and id be lying if i didn't think they are undermining results also.

Delete the initial post then if you like mate. Don't agree with that type of manipulation

All good mate, it's everywhere now. No harm in engaging with opinion to offer another.

So did Benitez and Lampard.

Benitez sacked 47 days later.

Lampard was sacked only 11 days after his backing by the board.

Aye, usually means nothing. Koeman was the same. Boards backing - sacked a game later.

If anything it usually means one more game.

Tad different now though with ownership. I still dont think there's any change until that's sorted.

I agree but let’s use the real data(as poor as it is) rather than making it up.
Dyche ppg at Everton is on a downward trajectory and that’s the worry.
His ppg is 1.18 over 68 games at Everton.
His ppg is 1.10 over the last 38 games(23/24 and 24/25 seasons).
His ppg over 12 games this season is 0.91.

I think I will do a rolling 38 game average after each game from now on!
Totally agree and fair assessment, the journo is being disingenuous when he could have made the same point with the real data.

Boyland and the pathetic team are a disgrace to the name of journalists, it’s not the first time they have printed absolute crap - for him to come out swinging for the manager, after printing so many lies whilst kenwright and co were in charge is a joke tbh. Then the bramley moore hit piece as well, disgusting red tinted scribes the lot of them.

I’ve said it before, any blue subscribing to the pathetic wants they’re heads examining, its no better than a kopite fanzine.

Not sure I have the stomach for a rolling PPG after each game, unless we start winning!

TFG will not want their new business halved in value overnight if we get relegated, they need to get rid of this guy as soon as.

Maybe he knows it, that’s why he’s not bothered and is starting the self defence comments, blaming everyone else.

Yep. Basically he gets the backing until one untenable result. I assume the backing includes the full expectation that Wolves will be beaten in 9 days but let's be honest on current form they could easily come up here and win yet again and then all hell will break loose at full time and then it's a completely different scenario with the derby quickly following.

The optimist in me is thinking that it’s a sign the takeover is imminent (within the next 2 games sort of timescale) and they are just setting up their stall.

Having a new manager in place for the final goodison derby with a potential new manager bounce would be helpful (but not as their first game). I dread to think how that goes if Dyche is still in place and putting out this level of performance.

Yeah Moshiri isn't going to do anything when he is so close to the takeover being complete and tbf, i doubt TFG would want him to either. They knew what they were buying and will have their own plans in place for when they are in. It is all moot until that happens.
