2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

Who would be your choices?

…I honestly wouldn’t pretend to know, Zat.

I do think they’re the most difficult appointments in Sport to get right. More high profile clubs than ours have struggled, I honestly think it’s often a matter of right person, right place at the right time.

I do think it needs to be done now, it’s a gamble but I’m wary of personnel going the extra yard with contracts up this summer.

That last sentence for me is why it cant be Moyes (and for other reasons) or a short term manager.

Must be a permanent appointment that gets the players excited and playing like their lives depend on a new contract to work for the manager.

I agree that it needs to be done ASAP

6 home games
6 points
0.9 goals per game

that stat gives Sean Dyche a semi

I dont know why i look because it just pisses me off. But open play goals this season. You know that thing, what you do on the training ground to try and improve other than set pieces.
These are teams below us.
Leicester. 9
Wolves. 18
Ipswich. 11
Southampton 7
Everton 6

Even Southampton have scored more from open play lol. And when you break it down all of those clubs have had a far tougher set of fixtures and still scored more from non set pieces than dyche predictable set up.
Wolves. 18. Wow. Triple Evertons. Next week will be so interesting. We'll have a young coach who promotes movement and passing against the old dinosaur who will stick to his "tried & tested" tactics.
Im sitting there hoping the dinosaur wins as Evertons survival takes priority over dyche every minute of the day. But im already dreading bravery and coaching will overturn stagnated tactics. Cheers Sean.

what do you think would be a reasonable return of points from the next 8 then? Rather than what you actually think we will get.

Would 4 points be reasonable considering the fixtures?
He doesn't want to give a number because he doesn't want to have to row back on yet another comment when he has to lower the bar for his hero Dyche once again. He said his expectations for this season was an improvement on last season but when pressed on whether that is likely, or indeed still his expectation, he obfuscates and accuses people of being unrealistic about our situation. Which is weird because they were his expectations, certainly not mine. I expected us to be rubbish under Dyche.

I will be surprised if we get more than 3 points in 7 games in December under Dyche.

Hopefully the takeover happens quickly as I can’t see them allowing Dyche to be in charge by January.
