2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

Is he getting the best out the players at his disposal?

Do we have the 3rd worst squad in the league?

The Answer to the First question is obviously no

Second question is harder to answer. It's subjective. If you look at NET spend we are the lowest in the league... And just in a general sense while I don't think we have 3rd worst squad, I do think we have the worst full back options in the entire division, I would say bottom 5 in terms of strikers. The only players who I can confidently say get into every other bottom half first 11 are Pickford and Branthwaite.

So while I still think the answer to the first question is no, I do think we massively overrate our current squad.

Indeed.

Before a ball was kicked this season I'd have taken where we are now though.

We were 4th favourite to go do down with Leicesters point deduction assumed.

We're 15th.

Fans massively overrate a team that's been on its arse and averaged 41 points for 3 seasons on the spin.
Statistically we have had the easiest set of fixtures so far and gained less than 1 point per game.. if you're happy with how the seasons gone so far then you're part of the problem

Why? We finished 12th last season without the deduction. The only “decent” player we sold -Onana - was not getting picked by Dyche anyway. Why did you think a team that finished on 48 points would drop off so bad? Did you not think this manager could try and get 2 more points over the course of a season and maybe get us to 50 points? Hardly earth shattering.

Go and check my posts from July/August mate and I shared why we'd be in a scrap. Not really notradamus stuff. There's not the goals or pace in the team.

the new owners will be mate

but if they don’t punt dyche the drain we’re circling we may well be dropped into it
and can’t get out

We're on our arse mate until we spend money.

Team is crap. It's why Bielsa jibbed us.

I'll be happy when we ditch Dyche but I'll give the new guy the same defence I give Lampard and Dyche. Team is relegation fodder.

We need to spend big in January.

Told anyone who'd listen on here before a ball was kicked this season. We're still relegation fodder who'd remain in a relegation scrap.

As I've said for 3/4 years now. This team don't have a final third capable of scoring which dictates relegation scrap. People told me NDiaye and Lindstrom would resolve that. Nope.

I hoped we'd be 17th come January under new ownership who could spend. I think that hope is optimistic at the moment.
We will never know what these players are capable of doing going forwards with a manager and coaching team leaving that entire aspect of a game to luck, set pieces and percentages while simultaneously tying their bootlaces together in a defensive knot.
12 goals from open play in 32 games suggests 3 particular people are appalling at their coaching job and how they setup the team.
I’ve never been fingered by a boss before, I’m glad it was you.

a whole overhaul is needed

We do know mate.

Saw it under Lampard.

Saw it under Benitez.

Saw it from Christmas under Ancelotti.

They're crap.

The January he come in, you'd have considered Everton staying up a success for Dyche.

Last season, you'd have considered survival to be the objective. Even before the point deduction.

Dyche achieved both.

Sure, 13 games in this season we've been very poor.

But Dyche isn't the reason Everton are crap.

Just like Lampard wasn't.
Slapping/Tapping a player around the ear......... supposedly, is always gonna leave the dressing room with............ WTF. The more he runs out of ideas.......... which he has none .......... and the rumblings behind the scenes............... He knows and the players know..........he is a dead man walking.
