2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

Your cards on the table.
15th in the league. Sack the manager now. Bringing in manager with no club football experience.
Can’t see how that could possibly end up worse.
Your emotional state seems to be, I don’t like this, makes me feel bad, I would roll a dice and see hope it’s better.
I did caveat that by pointing out my limited knowledge which is why the club appoints a dof. Carsley is one name mentioned, but I pointed out there are plenty of managers in world football.

Do you honestly believe that the football Dyche is having us play is the only way we can get points and the only way these players can play?

15th in the league having not played any of the current top 5. Who we are about to play pretty much all of.

My emotional states fine thanks, just think Dyche is a crap manager and that’s being proved game after game.

I cant fathom people backing this manager of this great football club.
Its gut wrenching to read.

Just wait until the club actually get a managerial appointment correct, even with this current squad Dyche will be exposed to the blind people for what he is and thats a poor poor manager.
If the club get it wrong then it will be like it is now, the last 3 appointments have been wrong.

Okay, I’ll play.

Started 14 of the first 19.

Started 9 of last 19.

So yeah, Dyche didn’t favour him and he was mainly being used as a sub when he got sold.

He was injured for some of those final 19 games?!!

31 games he was fit for. Started 23, came on in another 7, left on the bench once. This is not a player who was mainly used as a sub.

I know you’ll literally try to twist anything but there’s are facts (not that you care in the slightest if they go against your agenda)

It’s just daft this. He was a regular starter for us, he lost his place for a few games after a 6-0 defeat but then came back in. We don’t have to claim he was the first name on the team sheet but this constant suggestion that dyche didn’t use him is just demonstrably false. There’s loads of stuff to have a go at dyche for, but stuff like this is just stupid - it’s like a point blank refusal to accept any mitigation at all for anything and so totally weakens the argument rather than strengthens it.

This is the point. Was a good player, not fulfilling his potential and worth us selling at the money we got.
He had checked out already which is why he was dropped.

You want spend the day arguing about football but caveat that you know nothing about football. But emotionally your are fine.
Think we can all say Merry Christmas to that 👍

Tell me the manager you’d appoint. I’m all for improving

He was an ever present. The context to that is we got tonked 6-0 at Chelsea, Dyche changed half the team after it and we won the next one, Forest. He then kept a winning team as you'd expect, and we beat Liverpool and Brentford. We were then safe, and the whole world knew we desperately had to make one big sale and we had two players, Branthwaite and Onana.

I was suprised to see Onana start the last 2, knowing full well we were desperately trying to shift him prior Euros starting.

But there's no chance the manager wanted us to sell Onana for Iroegbunam but needs must.

Onana will definitely have wanted off as well - expecting a bigger move from the Euros than the one he got.

Whoever that manager is wouldn’t have joined a club with an unclear ownership position and financially hamstrung in a sell to loan/buy cheap policy every window.

We are days away (hopefully) from all that changing at which point the Friedkins can hire whichever manager they want in whatever timeframe they want and I’d be fully on board with it because the new manager has a chance of actually moving things out of this holding pattern we’ve been in.

Changing managers in the last 24 months though would have just been extremely risky and extremely short term, not to mention incurring a cost the club could scarcely afford.

I agree he will have wanted off. And appreciate we had to sell.

And while an ever present within the squad, he was being used as a sub more second half of the season than first half when he started 14 out of the 15 available for.

The last game we had no midfielders on the bench and the game before only had Gomes. So it was likely more out of necessity that he came back in.

I mean that’s not what I said. Limited knowledge around managers in world football as that’s what I was talking about. Its fairly basic comprehension to understand the meaning behind what I wrote.

And yes, as I said, compared to Thelwell who works in football as a DoF and whose job it is to know, my knowledge will be limited.

This highlights our best run was without him so is not a reasonable moan from Dyche regarding this season's form. The squad has been strengthened besides
