2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

I’m not saying the bobble is in their meetings, but TFG wil have had discussions with Thelwell and purdy id imagine
Just saying what he said, you don’t have to believe it
I don't think it's too hard to read between the lines on Moyes, after that interview. Everton want him short term, he wants longer contract. At minute Everton don't want to do that, so they are considering other options.

What is Dycheball?
Is it Mourinho at Chelsea circa 2005 but with drastically inferior players?
Is it a unique approach honed by the Dychosaur himself, that is dreadfully ineffective regardless of what players he could call upon?
Is it somewhere in between?

Could TFG buy into his methods and wish to provide him with players better suited to his aims? If so what is required?
Clearly our Xg suggests someone who can put the ball in the onion bag, but if 50% of our draws became wins and 50% of the losss became draws because someone can score, would his style be tolerable?
Dyche is Martinez's mirror image. He can drill a team defensively & on set pieces but can't coach attacking play. Martinez could coach attacking play but couldn't coach set pieces or defense.

Our XG this season is the worst in the league Jose won the champions league with Porto
He won inter Milan their first ever treble and first European cup in 47 years.
Just because he had a lot of money at Chelsea, doesn’t mean he was just a cheque book manager.
Comparing dyche to Jose and simeone are two of the maddest takes you will ever read.

Give dyche 200 mil in the summer and he will just buy hard working players all late 29’s With prem experience

No plans for a change but we've been running the rule over potential replacements and been speaking informally to people on that front before we officially became the new owners.

No plans at all, no contingency plans, no understanding of results over the last 12 months, nothing at all. Nada.

Wonder if that's how they run TFG as a whole. If so they've had extraordinary luck in building it up to have a group turnover of $11bn and growing.

I don't buy it.
Yeah it's rubbish, they've definitely talked to Moyes and if they've talked to him they're talking to others. I think it's logical to assume that their first choice isn't available until the summer and they've explored short term options but can't find any they trust or who want to come. So they hope Dyche can keep us up but if that's looking unlikely they'll have to move for someone other than their first choice.

It wouldn't surprise me if many of the prospective candidates would rather wait and start in the summer with a blank canvas.

At least we're top of the table in one stat. Accurate long balls. If ever the cap fit for a dyche team lol

Mourinho did have better players but he also had more attacking intent. His FBs were allowed past the half way line

Dyche is more Tony Pulis circa whenever Pulis was boring everyone than he is Mourinho

Our xG is the worst in the league. We have underscored that low xG but only 3 teams have scored more than their xG

Lowest xG, 2 banks of 4, players moving more sideways than forward and running to the corner flag when drawing and having a 4 v 2 at the end of the game is Dycheball

The reality is we need six wins I'd say.

I do feel a bit for the new regime. They probably didn't envisage having to deal with this as I'd imagine they thought we'd be about six or seven points better off.

I can see why they would hope he can get those wins. Massive upside as they can then get rid for free and focus on a summer rebuild.

A win at Bournemouth would be very welcome.

I think generally it’s difficult to see us having a worse second half which would put us at 34 points, so the question then becomes (if we do have as bad a second half) whether the three teams below us can achieves 34 or over. Doubtful, as most teams that come up tend to have a poorer second half of the season, but you simply never know. Have a lovely New Year.
