2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

Nah, I'd stick with Dyche over Moyes.

If these owners have anything about them - and we better pray they do - they'll have a proper manager to come in and start backing him now. Anything else is just "plucky old Everton" guff. If their plan for Everton has even a whiff of Moyes about it, we'd be as well off with Bill Kenwright in charge. He didn't even have money to bankrupt us. These guys do.
I think there are plenty of good managers available right now that i'd have over Moyes, and i think all it would take is us doing well in, and winning a lot of our remaining home games, which i think is very possible under a fair few managers that are available.

But as much as some of the things Moyes did, burned and hurt a lot of us, he is a far better, and more capable manager than Dyche.

There is no keeping dyche for me.

I'll tell you this now: if we see Dyche sacked and not allowed to sort this out as he has from far worse situation in the last two seasons our chances of relegation will increase about 100%.

There's a way of managing in relegation fights and we have one of the proven ones. Get another manager is and we'll - IMO - be certs to go down.
I think that last season in more difficult circumstances SD did really well.

However this season in spite of not losing any key player, even after adding a few weeks seem not to have a clue what we are doing.
Earlier in the season there were times when we were close to something but in recent months it is just a ratbag performance week after week.
I think the players are better than what they are showing but we know the manager is defensive and he doesn't have the ability to create any worthwhile attacking play to try to win games.

I just don't understand why they'd spend money now when the manager and DoF are out of contract in the summer.

Surely you have to give Thelwell a new contract, at the minimum if you're going to to let him / Dyche get new players in.

That's why I've said it's a tricky one.

12 players are out of contract I think. Manager and DoF too.

We need reinforcements in the most expensive window filled with opportunities to grab a) flops looking to prove elsewhere b) youth players for experience or c) overpaying

On top of that it's the consideration of sacking a manager and bringing a new one in.

Moyes shouldn't even be in the conversation. There is a world of football managers to choose from.

There isn’t a cats chance in hell he’s sorting it out, a new man gives us more of a fighting chance

Why would they back a manager who is off at the end of the season anyway, the only way they would do that is if Thelwell is staying and they are purely his signings, but then you could end up with another O’Brien on the bench for the rest of the season.

Maybe not the manager but the club. We need attackers and pace regardless of manager

They defo are not. You can get a fine tune out of them a handful of games but they are utter trash for the most part.

If you want Dyche out the deal is going to have to be: any new manager + minimum of £20M to spend + whatever comes through the door from sales.

If not then prepare to go into the Championship.

If it was my money and I was the owners Ild think long and hard about getting a chance appointment in. Long and hard...
