2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

Will it be sensible for Dyche to sacrifice the cup game on Thursday to concentrate on the league?
What does sacrificing the cup game even look like?

If it is the traditional route of making 8/9 changes to the league team and giving a few youngsters a chance then I am all for it - and don't think that equals sacrificing the cup. Playing the same 11 with the only changes being tha harrison/lindstrom and dcl/beto/broja merry go rounds is much more likely to lead to us sacrificing it.

The 'add a few wins' comment may be the most bonkers line in the interviews but not the most interesting for me.

The line about being miles off it in the first half but better in the second speaks volumes when 3 changes had been made by half time. If he truly believes that them I expect to see Armstrong and Patterson start next league game rather than Harrison and (ideally) doucoure. No chance though, it will be the same variation of the 11 and formation that started and were miles off it. Yet again.

Actually don't know anyone who wants him to stay bar dave
Dave isn't bothered about him staying either, he just thrives on discord. Whatever upsets the most people is what @davek likes, that's the only reason he's promoting the "merits" of Dyche currently. When Dyche is sacked it'll be the Friedkins he goes after next. He's as predictable as he is tedious.

The job he’s done on the media is incredible. Barely even a whisper that he should be under pressure, much less that he should be on the brink.
All I heard before this week is that he should be given an extension to take the team into BMD. I don’t think they actually watch the matches before they speak. Just still holding onto the idea that he saved us against a points deduction last season while having the benefit of 3 absolutely horrid new teams to the league that would’ve gone down no matter what. We were quite fortunate last season. This year, the only cents to go down are the team that had their only win all season against…guess who, Sean Dyches Everton

Are any of you responsible for the Goodison news website?

According to them, our new overlords are reluctant to sack him. Their constant support of the dinosaur is baffling.

This websites fanboyism is puke evoking. No idea why my phone keeps pushing them on my feed.

Hope you’re right mate. I would volley him now but I think the Arsenal, Chelsea and Man city games give him more time with the Friedkin’s.
Possibly but still draws at the end of the day. I'd think the Friedkins would much rather we lost those games and pick up 4-6pts against Forrest and Bournemouth. Not sure how much time 3 draws and 2 losses buys any manager especially when the rest of his poor season is factored in but who knows, he's still here as it stands. Maybe if Ipswich and Wolves results go against us moves will be made

Got Fulham v Ipswich on at the moment. Fulhams movement around the Ipswich box is exactly what we’re missing in the sense that they actually do move. Imagine making a run into the box to free up a bit of space.
That would involve allowing multiple players to run forward in attack

Our system involves a lone strike 30 yards away from any support, and we never commit any men forward for our long floated diagonal balls into the box

On the rare occasion we had players in the final 3rd, they all just stood on the 18 waiting for something to happen while we passed sideways. It was majestic.
