Yes he was West Brom manager. Which means we would've had to pay multiple million pounds in compensation at a time when Moshiri was running round frantically turning off switches and we were failing FFP. He was never at any point a serious on optoption.

We was taking about Corberán being Thelwels choice back before Dyche. But he'd only been at West Brom a few months before we appointed Dyche in the January.

So we he was technically available before he went to West Brom, that could have been the period when Thelwell was looking into him.

Don't think he was ever out our range, just Moshiri getting in Thelwels way and decision making. Plus he's just gone to Valencia for about 2 Mill compensation, well worth the price.

That's not true is it? He wanted to start at the end of the season and offered to coach the U23s (working in conjunction with an interim manager) for the remainder of the season so that he could start his process in the summer.
He told the club we didn’t have the players for him to come in and succeed. That’s why he wanted to get the u23 up and running so he had energy in the team.

Bit disappointing reading this thread. Can’t believe in this day and age of economic turmoil and financial struggle people are clamouring for a decent and hard working middle aged man to be sacked and thrown into the dark realms of unemployment. Sad really.
yeah, it's very very sad but on the plus side, think of the amount of time he'll have to play lookey likeys with Gary Birtles down the local!
