I didn’t get that either. The whole thing shows us in an awful light but then he goes down the, well he did it before so he’ll certainly keep them up this year!

He’s literally just gone through why he won’t, what’s happened before makes no difference at all to what happens this season.

I think his ego is sufficiently delusional that he sees himself as the wronged party whenever he gets sacked even though the stats are pretty conclusive on his limited abilities.
He has built a reputation(or his own narrative)on being some sort of miracle worker and requires that to be maintained to get another PL job after Everton.
He needs to keep Everton in the PL or he has no chance of a future PL job and that’s the only motivation he will have which is to protect his “reputation”.
We are in a Mexican stand-off with him and his slap head coaches.

Deep down the reason why dyche has had us playing like we do is simply a lack of belief in his own players. Why tell the players to pass it around our own half against city as an example, always pass it back to pickford before hoofing it upfield?

If the manager doesn't believe in his players and tells them to defend constantly then how do you progress?

nah the defence works for itself…. maybe apart from whether you play young or patterson at rb. be interesting to see if the injuries that garner etc have all of sudden clear themselves up though that would help us massively

Did you see us play under Lampard? The defence very much doesn't fix itself.
