2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

My biggest concern is what happened to him in that last season at Burnley.

Everyone thought they would find their way off the bottom but they just never could pull away.

If he loses to Leicester then I think the danger of that happening again is too high. He was saying the same stuff then about how his stats should turn the form around but on that occasion it never happened.

A new man came for him too late on that occasion but the form improved massively with that. There is no way he would have replicated that form and even that wasn't enough to keep them up. I just hope that's not where we are, I think we have better players than they had.

You're a bad WUM.

Just like Dyche pretty deluded in to thinking beating the RS last season counts to what's happening now, this season. That under the club's thinking he has "credit in the bank". It's a load of baloney. It's embarrassing that Dyche seems to think this way.
Its the fact that the 'Dyche outers' gave him no credit at the time for anything he actually did and now are feasting on negativity, and turning everything into a negative

I remember it well, all the Burnley fans waiting for their for to "pay them back" but it just never did, 4 wins from 30 games, what is his current run at Everton 5 wins in 30 games?

The same fate awaits us....

I think he means fan opinion towards managers comes and goes.

I think it largely just goes in your case, Sean. If it was even there to begin with.
Yeah was about to post the same until I read what you’d said .

Feels like a strange quote to clip , certainly gives a different impression of what he said . A lot of what he’s said lately feels like it hasn’t been well thought out but not much wrong with that.

If Moyes comes in then I would want to be away never mind Dyche. As I have said many times before, never go back it very rarely works as Kendal proved.

Why does what happened in 1998 resonate with you more than what happened since? Aside from caretakers, every Everton manager since Moyes was new and they didn't work either. Why does 1998 count but all the failed new managers since then don't prove new managers don't work?

I'm not arguing new managers don't work -- merely pointing out I can provide more factual evidence from reality of new managers failing than you can of returning managers who failed. It doesn't matter how many times you say it ... it doesn't make any logical sense to just say "Kendall didn't work so that proves it" ... it proves nothing. Maybe that one event proves player-manager is better than just manager?

Everton extra twisting his words.need to stop posting anything from them as they are nobheads and constantly misquote other sources to get more clicks.

Dyche is wank and guilty of lots of things. This isn't one of them.

Full quote, after being asked if he still has the support of the fans:

"The fans come and go and they decide - you know - whatever it is. All I can do is work as hard as I can at work. You know, it's never something that I've over thought. I respect the fans here. I've made that absolutely, abundantly clear. Erm, the way they've supported me, the team and the club over many years, before my time here. So there's absolutely no question of that. All I can do is work as hard as I can to put a team together to win games and in some 20 months here - very trying circumstances..."
This is also how social media builds hysteria.

Whether you like him or not it's absolute rat behaviour misquoting and twisting peoples words.

Hate it

I watched the City game with Milan and saw the City bench crammed with top players. What a contrast with poor Everton with s...e players on the pitch and even worse on the bench. I know it is ridiculous of me to compare the two situations, but Dyche's position is intolerable. The City crowd were truly awful, almost dead silent throughout apart from an occasional peep " come on citeh". That comes from continuous success I suppose.

Mate, he said the fans come and go. The "full context" is him realizing that maybe sounded bad and adding in "I respect the fans" afterwards. I honestly don't know what you think the full quote does to change the context. It's not much better at all. I agree social media is terrible but this isn't a great example of twisting words. He said what he said ... throwing in some boiler plate "but yeah I like the fans" doesn't change much.

That's the first presser I've watched since he's been here where he doesn't look sure of himself.

Clutching notes.
No quips.
Man knows he's done.
Even if we went on a decent run in the next 5 or 6 games I think he’s done in the eyes of the majority of supporters. The football is not going to change if we win 3 or 4 of the next 5 matches and that’s what we’re fed up with.
