2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

"Dyche lovers" describes people who see things in the round - that he's landed here with a thankless task and no cash or even support above him from a stewardless, rudderless club to save one of the great English football institutions from relegation - at a point when the British football media and the powers that be in the Premier League were determined to see us into the Championship.

If he keeps us up for the third season running - which he will - he'll have completed a remarkable story in this club's history. To walk into this catastrophe and keep his nerve and see us through to new ownership and a new stadium is a fantastic achievement.

The stick he's getting reflects on his detractors much more than it does on him. He'll get a standing ovation at the end of the season and he'll be wished all the best by the vast majority of Everton fans for what he's managed to do here.

This, basically.

Many people were so eager for victory that they forgot team were playing poorly.
Players played on their own when got the ball because there is none structure at all.
But as someone pointed out in another post which does have some truth to it, if we perform well but lose (see Bounrnemouth), we moan, but when we win but don’t perform well we moan. It may just be the dislike of Dyche. Me? I want performances and the wins, but if all I get is a win, there’ll be less to moan about for me.

Very lucky yesterday that Palace had such a bad start to the season, or we would have been 3 down by half time yesterday. Hopefully a lucky win and being able to hold on to a lead may restore some of the lost confidence. Leicester playing 37 year old Vardy up front every game gives me hope that they're in trouble and I'd hope we can find 3 worse teams and then get a better manager in for next season.

20p has been inserted into the heads of all the dyche lovers after yesterday.

We were still awful let's get it right, a mcneil worldie bailed him out, bot anything he did.

Still counting down the days until he's sacked
I think the sub he brought on had a hand in changing the game mate so to say it was just the worldie and nothing he did isnt really right.

Well he got 13 wins last season. He got Burnley into Europe too so not sure thats true about only 5/6 wins a season.

I agree we were poor in the first half yesterday. We've played well this season though and got beat. I don't really care about style of play though if it brings results. It hasn't so far this season until yesterday but it's still very early days.

I was watching Wolves in the last few minutes against Liverpool yesterday passing it around the keeper and centre backs when they needed a goal. Passing football isn't always better.

The fact that he could win 7 on the bounce and you'd still want him gone suggests to me that you're not being objective about the job he has done.
Good points you have said, however the reason why I want him gone is because he is very stubborn in his thinking
Eg Gaffas day/pre season he has done this for 10 plus seasons and yet his teams have only ever won 4 games in Aug in that time, so obviously is not working and needs changing.
Point 2 regarding Gaffas day how many injuries does that rack up? Losing Branthwaite for the time that we have had, again questions need to be asked

His style of play hoping for the other team to make mistakes, is tiresome, I want an Everton on the front foot at Home especially, not watching the other team pass it about like a training game, the last 2 home fixtures Palace Home and Southampton Home both embarrassing to watch

Even pre season Salfold had more of the ball than our players.

Games like Bournemouth Home Villa away if we had been better on the ball we could have killed both them games and been in a healthy position than we are now.

He is always having slight digs at the fans, not the best tactic.

He constantly plays players like Keane Young Coleman Doucoure and doesn't see what everyone else sees hence Bournemouth home, every man and his dog could see what was going to happen, but only he could influence that and he didn't.

Like I say he is very limited in what he does, the bottom line is it is also supposed to be entertaining and what we see under this fella is certainly not that
