2022/23 Sean Dyche

Always take these rumours with a pinch of salt but wouldn't be surprised at all. There's obviously a few too many players that are happy to take their wedge for the minimum effort - Dyche isn't going to take that.

Think we'll definitely see plenty punted during the summer. Long overdue too

"Huge Shock As Employees Don't Like Their Boss"

Honestly couldn't give a monkeys if our pampered millionaires like Dyche or not. He's not getting paid to be liked. No manager is. How many Man Utd players genuinely liked Sir Alex do you reckon? As a person?
By all accounts the players - and board - LOVED Lampard, and it got us and him precisely nowhere. He was everyone's best mate and he couldn't get a tune out of them. We lost at home to Southampton for chuff's sake.

The players can think whatever the hell they like about Dyche or any other manager. What matters is whether they're winning points.

FWIW - if we stay up, I think we'll probably sack him by Christmas....but that's another story.

There are questionable decisions Dyche has made and I’m not convinced at all by him…
But, 18pts from 17 games v lampard’s 15pts from 20 games is an improvement to be fair.
for that reason I’d be tempted to give him next season regardless of what division we’re in.
After all he’s not got a magic wand.
The key difference is the number of chances/ shots in target. People seem to forget that we regularly went 2 full games in a row without troubling the keeper. All part of Lampards ‘enjoy the ball’ “philosophy”

I'm not going to give a name but it's 100% true the lad who told me has contacts in the club, he himself doesn't support Everton so no reason to lie.

Anyways as previous posters have mentioned this club could do with a clear out regardless of our status next season. Managers don't have to be liked
This your first time on the internet?

Dyche had a new manager bounce.

Lampard quickly saw through players like Keane and Maupay. Dyche seems to want to use them and doesnt have any idea how to be proactive.

A centre forward + Danjuma and Lampard would have done better than what weve witnessed under Dyche.
Lampard also conceded 7 to Bournemouth in a week and completely messed up our easy run in, capitulation after capitulation, baffled how anyone can defend him tbh, tactically he is atrocious, for a midfielder he cannot set a midfield up if his life depended on it. I do not rate Doucoure but his energy was amiss also, right call by Dyche to bring him back in.

Believe what you want but we're better without the ball and with it under Dyche, would love to know what Lampard was doing with them in training.

What a downward slide the past decade has been. Delighted that Dyche may have done just enough to keep us in the Premier League but we need serious top to bottom changes in the summer - ownership, manager, players.

Good grief, how uninspiring must that be? Playing elite level football and the coach has nothing more to offer than 'put a shift in.'
Also did i miss something....when did we start playing elite level football? Are we in an alternate universe.
Unfortunately with our squad he has to start with the basics like, stop passing to the opposition, run faster than jogging pace, cross the ball into the box and try to hit the ball towards that net thats called a goal.....

Same. He pissed me off at leicester. For all the point was decent views there is also possibly it could all be done and dusted now with a win there. And they were def there for the taking.
But looking at it from the outset. What an absolute sh!t show to walk into. From benitez to lampard its a miracle we are not below southampton. I still think we have the worst squad in this league

Yes, we will prob sack him by Christmas after letting him have a pre season and a few signings just to unbalance the squad some more for the next manager who has no chance with this board and owner.
No joined up thinking and more panicky reactionary events. Its the Everon way since Moyes departed and later when Moshiri came in.

I agree with his in game management, especially at Leicester as it looked like we could possibly get a win. But if we won that game could have been just as easy to lose to Brighton as could have been over confident or not as under much pressure to get a result. That’s why football is the best sport it’s so unpredictable.

Im loathe to take the brighton game away. And i try not to. But i think the first 45 minutes of that game was brighton thinking they could just turn up in that match. It was a freak result. And i know thats very harsh.
Got to be a bit realistic though. The club has been a shambles for the past few years. Steady eddie dyche might be needed for a year or two. I dont like it but we're a mess. A bit of grit might have to be on the menu.

Would be a monumental achievement to secure safety in these circumstances.

If he does it, there can be absolutely no question of him continuing in the job, and entirely deserved.

Has one hell of a wheeling and dealing task in the summer, amongst other things.

I hope if there are new owners/board, he doesn't get punted for change for its own sake. That's one thing we can do without.

Managed to assemble a team that struggles to pass, score and keep the ball. All for a pretty penny aswell. Takes some doing to get that wrong on a scale that we have.

If there was a transfer budget would you let Dyche have it?

Bearing in mind he'd sign players to fit into his system...

...that likely wont fit the next manager.

No. You have no evidence to back that up. Zero. Wishful thinking.

FL, a truly dreadful manager. No need to rewrite history. Just look at the players he has at Chelsea. How many points does he get?

If he stays we relegate it’s that simple. Danjuma won’t save him and he won’t save us.

20 points 15 points said it all.
