We had the better team and finished above them that season as well.

Moyes absolutely shat himself when we went 1 up. I remember it fondly, sitting at Wembley and watching them go further and further deeper
Wasn't only Moyes that bottled it against them in big games, we've got a list as long as your arm that goes all the way back to the Cat.

That was a top Chelsea team, but yeah moyes is the kind of guy who looks set to clear the table but can't pot the black and gets beaten.

Having said that, that season for me arteta was as good as any cm in the league until he did his ligaments. He pretty much managed the team on the pitch.
Mate Arteta back then was sexual, felt like him and Jags barely put a foot wrong ever. Heartbreak for the injury.

And yeah they were great but we could've at least not completely crapped our collective pantaloons because we've scored hahah

Watched with a friend and he, for some reason, thought that it'll be a great and even match, because you know cup final and all... lol

That squad shouldn’t have got as close as they did. Didn’t bottle a cup final though
But did bottle two top 4 finishes that would change the club. Also bottled a relegation fight, in fact bottled the whole job when the slimey turkey toothed chode begged to be fired instead of quitting, can't be missing out on paydays that will funs more portraits of himself

Had a lot of injuries and the owners pulled the plug, didn’t really buy many players last 2 summers and some of their best players aging
They pulled the plug yeah, that's why he spent 50m on some utter garbage this season. 60m the season before. They've lost Fofana and Schmeichel as significant players.

Don't check how much they've spent before that with him though.

Still a better manager than dyche that’s why he’s managed the clubs he has and won things

Was there 3 years and had a debt on spending of 30mil. 2 5th place finishes and an FA cup is not bad going. Just look how we’ve dropped due to injuries and loosing our best players

I genuinely dont think he knew the United job was coming, but just think he was a cautious manager.

He essentially created a team that outgrew him, and was unable to probably get the best from. He did lots of things very well, but by the end it required a different approach.

Can you imagine someone like Ancelotti with the teams between 08-12?
As many said about Moyes: he'd have been a good director of football - or certainly head scout. He could pick a player alright.

Ah so he had a debt on spending yet still spent quite a lot.

Nice, valid.

Asking again, is the relegation he inflicted on the team not his doing then?

Nothing won at celtic counts for anything, if Dyche was at Leicester this season instead of Rodgers they are still in the prem. Rodgers has sent them to the cleaners
maybe Rodger’s would have kept Burnley up last season unlike dyche. At least Leicester fans have good memories of great football and a cup win. What have Burnley fans got? Neck ache
