Granted it seemed to only apply when he played Everton but his Burnley side had the occasional moment where they could play nice football if he opted for it he never seemed to beyond Everton I know McNeil was lackluster last season I oddly think he could actually get him back to playing his best football too i think we're doomed but the way he was forsaken by board and he does like to instill a tenacity in his players and the fact i would like Everton to stay up i hope he pulls off the great escape

Also if you're going to play dyche allerdyce ball setpieces are key and we don't really have anyone who can offer up a consistent threat on set pieces that's another reason Frank failed, couldn't score in open play or enough on setpieces

James Garner says hi
Is he back from injury? I just haven't seen enough of him to know if hes the answer I thought he was a good acquisition and there has been various factors on why he hasn't been a greater influence ( acclimate to a new league, manager had favorites, back injury)

Said this somewhere else, that under Royle, we didn't play very well in open play, but our Hinchcliffe - Rideout/Ferguson was an 'out ball' which always got us a few goals, or at least put the opposition under threat - made them think. We need to work on something, because in Mina and our other CBs we have at least good players from set pieces - just nobody to deliver them. (hi James) And we don't have a basic tactic to rely on, which we have to work out.

He will be back soon I believe, he’s a good player and takes a mean free kick and is very good at hitting the areas he should instead of always under hitting/over hitting them like Gray, McNeil, Mykolenko etc
