I agree he’s been let down by no signings but I believe we won’t concede many goals which means we have a chance of sneaking a goal each game,
"Stay in it to win it" paid off for the most part at Burnley when he had forwards like Ings, Vokes and Wood to chip in a few goals.

Lampard was talking relegation battle before a ball was kicked. That's not talking well imo.
Yeah what I thought as well earlier - never even mentioned relegation, just belief in himself he can get us out of this mess and we have a good chance to do so. I'm okay with that show of bravado, hopefully we display it as a team in the following few months. If he does that - he's a real winner lol

Also if we go down he's got experience (coveted by so so many) to bring us back up so...

He was impressive in that press conference.

Talks with honesty, makes a lot of sense.

I think he’s the right man for the job.

Just a pity it was before the World Cup and backed with funds to spend. Hope it’s not too late.
There was no urgency last season in getting Benitez out and Lampard in...but then we still had Richarlison and a returning Calvert-Lewin to turn to. Now we have Calvert-Lewin who;s had a terrible season.

That'll be the difference.

Or a youngster Dyche gives a chance to, we SUPPOSEDLY have a lot of those... lol

I know "he's not the type to do so", but it's about having no other options this year really, not about if he wants to or not.

His press conference sounded like David Brent after 20 B&H
I like him though, just loves a cliche filled waffle that doesn’t really go anywhere but his positive attitude is infectious as you can tell from the positive reactions from almost all fans on all platforms
He's speaking to a group of professionals who in the past have asked him if he eats worms.

The other people he mostly speaks to are professional footballers who communicate largely through the medium of sleeve tattoos.

Clichéd waffling is the appropriate level really for his intended audience.

Who's there other than Simms?

It was madness to allow Cannon to go out.

It's like the club tried their very best to lay the foundations for relegation by weakening the squad in january rather than strengthening it.

Don't know if this has been posted already, but it's a good watch to see how he works

Might be a nice change to have an identity on the pitch for once

Got a few midfielders, no? I believe one of them was on the main picture of Dyche laughing as the boy was gasping for sweet, sweet air lol

Physical preparation of players in the youth team leads to this, naturally, in Dyches' 1st training session:

Why do we even have coaches man, honestly?!

I have those labels down as facts.

It's one thing to play deep and counter. It's quite another to have tactics that call for keeping the ball in play as little as possible. This was a feature of Burnley for too long to be a coincidence. His sides can't win by playing football.

neither can ours
