That's exactly it though isn't it. He is maximizing what he has to play with.

Yeah absolutely, it’s a shame Frank went against his principles from last season when he had us playing pragmatic football to stay up. He stayed with the playing between the lines stuff for far too long this season. Some of these lads can’t pass or control a ball. Sounds bad to say for PL footballers but they’re awful and they’re the ones in the starting 11. Dyche has done great to devise ways to win with the absolute rubbish he has to work with.

Absolutely, check out the amount of people defending Onana who can't trap a ball, play an actual forward pass between the lines, shoot or head the ball towards the goal, but is held up as some kind of saviour. Dyche subbed him today for the second game in a row. Can you imagine such praise for mediocrity back in the 80s??!!

I’m not sure this lot could play any other type of football than what Dyche has them doing. They’re just not very good, they make so many basic errors and bad decisions it’s unbelievable.
Which is all the more reason to hire a manager who understands this implicitly. We have seriously wounded ourselves by persevering with Lampard, a clueless fool when it came to being pragmatic with this rabble. "Playing between the lines?" What was he doing? Having a game of Subbuteo on a table used to cut cocaine?

Losing at Anfield is what it is but two home clean sheets against fast aggressive teams like Arsenal and Leeds whilst finding a way to pinch goals without having an attack is outstanding.
If only he’d been bought a forward or two I’d say we’re safe no drama. Whatever happens rest of the season it won’t be the manager at the root of our problems anymore.

An advantage of having Dyche is also that Leeds can’t have him.
We did well to get Dyche in when we did, I know the club get most things wrong but it took an understanding of where we were and what we needed to get him in. Even if he was available though I don't think Leeds would touch him as I think they are committed to trying to play "the right way" rather than accepting the reality of their situation.

Turned the team into proper workhorses which is all any manager really can do at this point but he read today's game very well. Under Benitez or Lampard we 100% don't win that, probably lose it in fact.

Goal was lucky but teams that run their knackers off will get luck and deservedly so.
The best teams in the world all have one thing in common. They work hard.
