2024/25 Sean Dyche

To be fair, they are sixth, two points off fourth with a negative net spend over the past few seasons. Their fixtures have included Spurs, Chelsea, Man Utd and Arsenal already. I would say they're doing pretty well. Last year was a bit of a blip for them.
Oh I agree was just responding to someone who said should they be content finishing 17 as they had the same points as Everton excluding the points deduction last season

I was astonished that they didn't really replace Caicedo and MacAllister last season and had a pretty stretched team for playing 3 competitions for the first time in their club history. For me it's one of the reasons they struggled massively in the 2nd half of the season last season when injuries worsened together, and de Zerbi was found out for his one-sided style of play.

They invested this year for the first time and had to replace nobody important apart from Gross that went Dortmund. Should aim for 9-7 somewhere surely at least.

When you look at the makeup of the top 25 contributors to this thread, it really does make a mockery of those claims that Dyche supporters dominate this thread responding to everything. I’ve not even made the champions league places and there’s only 6 people who don’t actively hate Sean Dyche in the top 25.
What is there to hate with Dyche.
He gets the players fit. All evertonians want is for our team to do the hard yards and work for the shirt.

They do under dyche and the ones who don't. Don't get picked.

I suppose you did see the first few games,
When the players were dead on their feet 70 mins In and this idiot wouldn’t make a substitute.
You were probably to busy watching the reds

Exactly, the fitness level is far away from last season, where I barely had the feeling the players were unfit.

Very scarifying for a play style like Dyche's where running much is a key point

we want football - not just play for shirt

that should be a given

It should be a given Matty, but it's not.

Lots of teams and/or players have thrown the towel in. Lots of players have turned on managers and still been relegated when the new one comes in.

Players these days can be divas. We've seen players at Man Utd turn on Moyes because he wouldn't let them eat chips. it's not always easy keeping modern players happy and ensuring they give their all for the shirt.

Getting players to consistently work hard and having generally good man management skills is a very valuable skill for a manager, and one of the biggest aspects of modern management. I wouldn't turn my nose up at it I was you.
