2024/25 Sean Dyche

I don’t think the football is anything we want to see as fans and I am fairly fed up watching utter garbage. But we’re all inclined to give a manager more leeway if they are getting results. We’re 4 points above the relegation zone so it’s not really been a triumph so far but I can’t imagine anyone pulling the trigger just yet.

While I’m sceptical about the current board getting a replacement appointment right the reality if the situation is they won’t do anything and we may not have much financial wriggle room to fire or to improve the squad in January so it’s just a rubbish situation all round.

I’m just clinging on to the hope TFG comes in and sorts this mess out.

we all are with the latter

When he came here his advocates argued he could get good performances out of a poor squad.
Now the argument has become he is failing because the squad is poor .
You can’t have it both ways.
The truth is ,
our squad isn’t that poor
And he isn’t that good !
For £5m I expect better .
The squad IS poor - but that’s beside the point. Dyche is NOT getting enough results out of a bad squad. That’s what his reputation is built on: getting blood from turnips. But our turnips are dry now so what’s the point of Dyche?

The first 10 games were handy. He couldn’t manage even a point a game. He’s failing. It shouldn’t take shellackings against the better sides for people to cotton on that this guy is underachieving in matches against the likes of Southampton, Fulham, and Bournemouth.

The writing is on the wall. It’ll be on the bedsheets by Christmas.

Losing to sides that are even poorer than you renders the “squad is poor” argument null and void too.

Exactly.

The squad is feeble. But that’s beside the point when you’re losing twice to Southampton.

It was only the familiar incompetence of Marco Silva that helped us to a point last week.

Dyche is running on fumes. November may spawn a monster.

No other club at this level would hire him

The fans are seeing tactical issues that he doesn't and that's not good enough.

I genuinely think his next job will be a relegation battling Championship side. He’ll probably have a year out the game waiting for another mug PL team to become desperate enough to offer him a stupid contract, then when he realises it’s never coming he’ll end up at Sheff Wed or Plymouth.
