I left him alone a lot of last year,
The streets won't forgetLadies and gentlemen, The Dyche Arena.
We always seem to turn up against these so called bigger teams. We have beaten Chelsea at home last year, Liverpool, we have beaten Arsenal twice in the last three seasons at home, it’s only City who we get battered by but who knows.
We shouldn’t be to down hearted about these games. But yes, a win against Brentford, a point at United and a win against Wolves would have us all feeling a bit better. The stadium needs to rock against Brentford and Wolves though. I still feel like for the final ever season at Goodison it’s not been great.
Read this and felt well whatever tickles ye pickleWhat half decent player would want to play under him?
... Does not equate to "I've not coached him at all."
Believing what the manager says in a press conference is fine, as long as you’re consistent. If you want to take stuff like this at face value but then doubt other things that he says then it’s disingenuous, and I think we both know you don’t trust everything he says.Didn’t say he was careful not to overcoach him. Said he left him alone a lot.
Literally said -
“Sometimes you can outcoach it from them, you know and Jarrad, I left him alone a lot of last year, you know I was a centre half and I normally do quite a lot of work with the centre half’s, but he was going along fine an I thought no no just leave him.”.
Please don’t make stuff up.
Ultimately if he’s improved, and he has, and is now our best player worth potentially a world record fee for a CB, why does anyone care what Dyche did or didn’t do?
He was brought back in from loan, put in the first team, and we now have an asset worth a huge amount as well as an extremely good centre back, yet people are banging on about how fir he was or wasn’t first two games of last season, or how much Dyche does or doesn’t coach him.
What does it matter if the outcome is a good one?! Alex Ferguson was probably sat in his office not even watching training whilst Ferdinand and Vidic were forming a partnership. It doesn’t matter, it’s just yet another really weird thing that some people will twist themselves into knots over because they can’t override their default factory setting of hating Dyche.
Yourself included, eh Stevie?Dig the heels in lads. Absolutley no one leaves here with a changed mind. The Dyche Arena
Lol, you've stopped comparing Dyche with Pep now and moved on to Alex Ferguson. You are the gift that keeps on giving.Ultimately if he’s improved, and he has, and is now our best player worth potentially a world record fee for a CB, why does anyone care what Dyche did or didn’t do?

I trust very little he says (such as “having no options” etc). However with this, based on things others have said, including current players, it fits “the story”.Believing what the manager says in a press conference is fine, as long as you’re consistent. If you want to take stuff like this at face value but then doubt other things that he says then it’s disingenuous, and I think we both know you don’t trust everything he says.

That would require coaching the players at Finch Farm in playing the new system. There's no time for that, they're too busy getting injured on the training ground with the SAS style training regime. Seriously though, I have thought for a few weeks now that, as we are light in midfield and impotent in attack 3-5-2 would be our best bet, it allows us to have 3 in midfield, were we just can't control the game with a 2 and gets us 2 players up top, currently whoever is up top is isolated. All day this, especially when his turgid plan A-Z is clearly not working.
He could try a 3-4-3 with 3cbs.
Maybe 3-5-2 or 5-3-2 even.
Change it during a game as well ffs.
We have options, he’s not bothering with them.
