2024/25 Sean Dyche

Very black and white aren’t you sunshine.
Get up every day, type about Dyche being crap…

Maybe he is good at achieving the the aims of the club given their lack of investment. Maybe Burnley aims aren’t top 10 finishes, maybe Everton in their current state aren’t aiming for top ten finishes

No one enjoys this football, but there are teams below us trying to out play Arsenal, Man City and Liverpool with worse squads and the same tactics… that seems insane to me.

The a season hasn’t finished yet. And it’s questionable whether the squad has improved

No one here actually wants to give Dyche a billions to chase the league.
There are bunch of people that think the club is in disaray, the team unbalanced and underinvestest and the working conductions Dyche Is working at is tricky for elite sport.

Then there are some that want him sacked now, but have no idea who to replace him with or even who would manage that practice… and don’t appreciate getting it wrong could be catestrophic.

He’s not good at it because he’s been relegated twice.

Yes, the squad has improved. Replacing Onana who he mainly used as a sub with Mangala, Tim, Ndiaye; JOB and Broja is improvement.

You are right, the season hasn’t finished yet, so why has Dyche been playing this football since matchday 1 (I know you like to ignore the first 4 games but they did happen). I understand when you get half way through a season if you are struggling, but like I say, we were mid table last season, didn’t need scraping to safety from the first kick of a ball.

Is O’Hara a knobhead - yes

Was he speaking the truth - yes.

So, O’Hara can be a knobhead, but it still doesn’t mean that O’Hara the knobhead isn’t speaking the truth.

But that doesn’t suit your Dyche is wonderful narrative does it ?

Keep getting your opinions from talksport. It suits you, and isn’t a surprise.

Cundy and O’Hara, Christ.

He’s not good at it because he’s been relegated twice.
Once, promoted again the next season. Was Doing pretty well for a club that barely featured in top flight for the 30 years prior. Different club, different goals.
Like I said black and white thinking.

When you apply the fact Gomes and Godfrey left as well. The fact that only Ndiaye has looked decent so far and broja had one 10 min appearance… you are stretching to say the squad improved

What would you do now? We are 15th. Having been rock bottom after three games. Think most people thought we would finish around here to be fair - give or take a couple of places.
Last season there were plenty wanting him sacked too.
Who comes in that isn’t a risk and immediately moves us up the table without investment?

are you saying he was wrong? You actually disagree and think we try to play decent, progressive football?

The only team in the league not trying to play football?

We’ve just beaten Wolves 4-0, went to Ipswich and controlled the game against them, came from a goal down v Palace, we battered Bournemouth for 87 minutes and it could have been 3 or 4, we went 2 up v Villa away before we collapsed admittedly. Did we not try to play football in any of those games?

Southampton are on 5 points, should we swap styles with them to get a pat on the head from Jason Cundy and Ohara?

It’s just clickbait nonsense that loads of fans just swallowed up because it suited.

If we didn’t try to play football we wouldn’t get a single premier league point. We can debate all day about the style of football and whether people like it but it’s just a very stupid binary comments so no I don’t think he is correct.

You’ve just made this up, it’s not even true

He started 23 PL games of the 31 he was fit to play.

You are telling me I’m stretching it when you then mention Gomes 😂 Dele left as well while we are at it. Go in any Godfrey thread over past few years and it’s full of people wanting him gone and saying he was a waste of money.

Tim looked decent early on until Dyche randomly dropped him. Mangala looked decent as well until Dyche randomly dropped him until he came back in vs wolves and looked good.

What would I do now? Well I wouldn’t have gone into the easiest opening run of games just trying not to lose. I’d have actually gone in to try and win them. (And he does try to just not lose as all his rhetoric is about not losing).

At this very point, I’d be getting rid of him (I’d have got rid of him after his first 6 months personally and said so at the time). For who? I’d argue many managers could do better, but based off my limited knowledge (as I’m not thelwell who works in football and has to know about all the managers) I’d maybe go Carsley on a short term. But any suggestion that there’s no one else out there in world football and no other managers could do more is incredibly disingenuous.

At least very imminently there should be accountability and consequences for poor results and performances from the manager.

Even setting aside judgement on Dyche, he and the club have been in limbo too long on that front.

He would surely acknowledge that he has been sailing close to the wind at the least - and may already have been gone if things had been completed earlier.

Past games are gone but I think everyone has to up their game now with support from TFG.

I expect they'll give him some time at least and let's hope that we can maintain or extend the gap that currently exists to the bottom three into New Year and beyond. He will probably only come under real threat if they consider relegation to be a more acute danger than the current state of affairs.

Hey I’ll have you know that Andre Gomes and the rest of the Rotting Core are very sorely missed these days.

Your cards on the table.
15th in the league. Sack the manager now. Bringing in manager with no club football experience.
Can’t see how that could possibly end up worse.
Your emotional state seems to be, I don’t like this, makes me feel bad, I would roll a dice and see hope it’s better.
