2024/25 Sean Dyche

As with last season, a problem I have with Dyche is that we need to start picking up points in the form of wins fast and he doesn't inspire the confidence that he can do it.

Teach a player who' s forward to attack with purpose?

What sort of PL forward needs that taught them?

We are missing a link between what are defensive MFs and the attack.

We'll struggle without McNeil to get us more dangerous. We need to buy that in January...oh no, the new owners have said their revolution doesn't include purchasing players.
Well the last thing you need to address the situation you describe is playing Doucoure in that role, especially when we have the perfect link in Ndiaye. Harrison too is a wasted piece, why play them. The guy is devoid of any cohersive game plan. He finally gives Broja a strike partner, then hooks him minutes later. Pulls Young off when Mykolenko is stinking. Now slagging off the team in public. He is now hopefully history. Yes we miss Tim, Garner and Mcneil but he is not even trying to improvise.

So without going into the actual results, over the past year, Dyche has:
  • admitted that he's basically not bothered to coach the one young player who's made a big improvement in his time,
  • assaulted another player, who when he plays routinely shows he's better than the guys he is sat behind, and now
  • straight up admits that his players will not follow his instructions, almost two years after he was hired.
You don't even have to make the case to get him out - he does it himself.

Just back .

My God we were awful. 2nd best to every 50-50 . No pace , no power, no intensity , no movement off the ball and absolutely no creativity to go alongside the no technical ability of 2 of Dyche's favourites Harrison and Doucoure.

We were abysmal and I'd suggest that that is the easiest game Forest will have all season.

We could have played for another 3 hours and still not scored and yet Dyche does nothing to change the shape of the team or make tactical changes.

I'd even have more respect for him if he thought sod it this lot can't play football so we will go full Wimbledon and play 3 big guys up top and totally bypass midfield.

But he is clueless and has to go.
Our movement is shockingly bad. It's as though we actually go out of our way to stand next to opposition players and not move.

There was a point late on in the game when Patterson was taking a throw-in and Lindstrom literally stood right next to him watching. I had to laugh it was that embarrassingly bad!

It's our 3rd loss in 12 games.

That means nothing though.

Our first loss in a sequence of games we were supposed to get nothing from.

It’s not all about being a Dychette, so don’t answer for the entire fan base. My belief is that a new manager will come in the summer alongside a squad overhaul—we know a significant number are moving on. I’m happy to sacrifice the remainder of the season to stay up and get the next appointment right, alongside a group of players that suit a different style.

I worry that if we change now, we’d have to bring in another pragmatic manager like Moyes who can work with these players. Can you see Graham Potter working with this squad?

My concern is that he would struggle, and then we could be in bigger trouble.

Add in that the new owners haven’t yet got anyone with Premier League experience. I think they need time to form their plan and start getting the right people in the building.

I’m also loyal and tend to support whoever is in charge when I think they are doing their best. I have no control over who the manager is, that’s for the board.

If you disagree, fair enough and I respect your view. We all want the best for Everton.

I just think a summer change is better for the long term.

Awful manager
Awful person

TFG have a chance to get rid of some of the poison in the club. Dyche has single handedly ruined the last season at goodison and ground down the fan base.
They also need the time to though, the worst thing is to rush in and get another wrong manager in.

Throwing the players under the bus again to hide his own incompetence. Really needs to be gone now, the relationship between players and manager is obviously broken.
